Immigration problems in UK....your views..Dont be racist....

Plus i do not have facts but in my opinion there seem to be more british people on the dole than immigrants.

Mothers stop income support when there child is 12yrs old but will change to 7yrs i think. but the lazy people whoi dont do anything can claim it all their lives. A limit of 1yr should do it and i garantee that almost everyone will be in work then as the goverment wont be paying them to do nothing
Now im going to sound so bad but.......
i have just started a new job and my face dosent seem to fit at the moment and no matter how much i try with people its not happening thats probably that i am probably 5 out about 15 brits working there. I am a carer and philapenos and portugese work and they talk to each other in there own language infront of me so im not included and they will talk in there language pretty much throughout the day. This is so wrong i am not been awful but if i was the foregn one it would be down as rasist straigh away to be singling someone out because they dont fit there culture. Also there are a few people who have come over here, at my work, who are pregnant and they are getting more benefits than me, i just get child tax credit, and from there own mouths when they have got the maternity pay they are going back . this is what i dont agree with. I have worked since i was 15 and i dont get anything like what they get. Also, sorry on a role but few bad experiance in a short time, i went to get my daughters her 1st pair of shoes last month and when i was paying for them this pakistany pushed me so hard to get to this rack of sale items that i fell over. The shop assistant helped me up and the woman who pushed me looked at me then looked at her friend and started to speak in her own language. no apology or nothing even if she couldnt speak english well she didnt even check if i was ok. Oh well i think i am done. Just a quick one though i do have a number of friends who are from all over,
I agree there are many many English people who are lazy and sponge the benefits etc. But what we dont need is more people coming here to do it.
I would love to go back and live in the 60's or something, where foreigners were hardly anywhere in the UK. Where people were proud to be English, and our people and communities were so traditional.
Now the country is just a joke.
It is nothing like that now it is like a different place altogether.
If they give and take then no problem, as that is fair all round, but the majority of them just take, and give nothing back to our country.
My main street of shops, there are about 10-15 different foreign food shops, chicken places, halal butchers, multi cultural food shops..kebab shops....etc etc... and how many of them are English? hardly none.
A real 😠 take.
I would love to be able to afford to move to a different country to live and bring my children up. but i cant i am stuck in 😠 😠 England forever.....how exciting. 🙁
There is no english tradition to show our kids anymore, as we "cant do this, we cant do that" incase we offend others...in our own country. 🤪
Ok I say live and let live and if it wernt for the local chinese take away id starve!
lol lucy. here here! in reference to the food shops not being english. tbh we don't exactly have a fantastic reputation in the rest of the world for our food. I mean most of us would eat in Chinese, Italian, Indian, (even kebab shops after a late night at the pub!)if we were going for a meal (with the exception of the posh places ie.gordon ramsey or something) I don't know many people that would want to pop out for an english otherwise? lol. Also the foreign examples you have given there wendylou are working and paying into our society. It's the ones that don't have a kebab shop we should be worried about! lol Xx
Did you see that programme about indian take aways last week? it was gross, how dirty they are in the kitchens...im never eating a takeaway again..you never know how clean they are when thay make your food....eugh 🤢
Believe me, i have worked in food retail for most of my working life and have seen things that would make you toes curl! i can honestly say us British are as bad on that score! Xx
I know, my step mum works in enviromental health and the stories she has told me...oh man its just gross..
yeah i think most countries are bad on that score.
i only go to places with huge open kitchens who want to show off their nice kitchens, and most of those places are pricy but if its clean and tasty i dont mind!
Lihra said:yeah but if they wasnt getting the jobs cause they work for less money and people are always looking out for a way to make morwe money then maybe there would be jobs for the british who are on the dole

(if anyone can find something to prove or disprove this then please feel free to post what you find)
well thats my opinion anyway

I feel that a lot nbot all people on the dole are not as they cant be bothered to work and even at minimum wage of £5 hr working 40hrs per week totaling £200 it's more than the £40 odd £ that you get sitting on your arse.
Any one on the dole do not take offence but un less there is a legitamite reason to be on it i.e medical condition or single parent looking after a child you dont need to be on it...
I do agree with this, however. The cost of rent, council tax, the ni and tax that comes out your wages and other day bills soon add up. My rent should be 327 something. I pay 223 a month. £104 pound off that isn't alot as I only work 20.5 hours average wages a month is £450 plus I get help from tax credits. I get about £1000 a month roughtly, and about 700 is bills!!!
I would love to stay at home and look after Caitlin but I am not a sponger, I did however claim benefits for about 2 1/2 years while I was at college I did 3 years at college, also went when I was pregnant.
In my opinion they need to crack down on it. Caitlin is 3 and gets free sessions at nursery I pay on top the fees when I am at work. 3 is a great age for kids to start nursery so parents should get into a part time job then. It is better for me doing the hours I am doing as I get help with my rent and tax, I work less hours and still see Caitlin when I am not working. I wouldn't be better off working full time as I would have to pay full rent, I know everyone pays rent but I am getting the same amount of money now as I would be working full time. If you understand that.
Also JSA you got to be looking for a job, my mate and his gf are on it they got their money and spent it on alcohol this annoyed
me as I work my bum off and they sit at home playing pc games!
If they want more people working they should make it easier for them to find a job, you need experience for everything, how can you get it it they won't employ you? Apprenticeships are good but so hard to get!!!Working in bars you got to be 18 + and flexible, single mums or dads can't do that!Just scenarios not saying parents should work in bars!
Omg this is sooo long and I still got so much I could say, however it has gone off the immigrant subject and more onto people being on benefits whatever their ethnic background is.
Kelly
It may hve gone of the subject a little but the reason for most people disliking imigrants is they think they all sponge im stating that there are a lot of wasters on the dole. Mothers should go back to work when thier child goes to school as i do believe that mothers should spend as much time at home with their cghild but fully understand that in this current climate it means generally both parents need to work.
I agree that alot of people on the dole sponge.
Also I am a single parent and yes I should be with Caitlin alot but then I think everyone should pay their own way. I would love to be at home with Caitlin then work but she knows I am working and I think she understands why I have to. She loves going to nursery and socializing with the other children.
Both parents should work even if they are both working part time so they can both bring up the children.
This is going to be a on-going issue and they government aren't going to be able to resolve it. I am better off being off benefits when I was on them I was always in my overdraft etc and now I am not and I can afford things. Benefits just cover the basics people need, eventho their are alot of people who take advantage of this and get unnecessary things such as the net and mobile phones. They are a luxury not a need. So I don't understand why people go on them.
Kelly
Didnt mean to sound like i was having ago.
I know you spend as much time as possible with caitlin.
Apologies if it sounded as though i was insulting your parenting.
Each and every person has there own thing.
I dont work at the moment with a 6mnth old baby but OH does. when both girls start nursery i will. I just dont want to let go until i need to and have some stranger look after my child. If i do go back to work earlier it will be evenings so i can spend all day with my daughter's and work at night
No it didn't lol was just saying why I do!
With a 6 month wouldn't expect you too!Just when they kids are nearin 15/16 or even 11 when they can look after themselves people should get into work!
It is a very complicated issue this one, and I agree that there are massive flaws in the states current system of allocating benefits etc that allow people to abuse the situation (both immigrant and British people). However it is worth remembering that without migrant workers, our NHS would be on it's knees currently as we are unable to meet the demand for doctors and nurses from our resources here (let's not start on funding for studying!) and furthurmore there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that currently a lot of migrant workers are doing the jobs that no British people want to do (see recent documentary on fruit pickers in peterborough!!). There will always be people that use and abuse the system and that is true of whatever colour, creed or nationality, but sometimes it is a case of over publicising the negatives and not focusing on the positives.
As for the religous side of things Britain has gone PC mad!
As has been previously said it's not so bad if immigrants come here and work hard for a better life, but there are also many who come for the hand outs. One thing that REALLY does get to me is I was not only born in England but I have lived in this same town my whole life as have generations of my family before me. It's the same for my husband and his family, born here lived here all our lives. We live in a 'Housing Association' property, there are 4 of us living in a 2 bedroom flat but down there road are Immigrant families living in 3 and 4 bedroom houses. I feel like this is my territory and it is my family and others like us who have paid the taxes etc all these years to keep our town the way it is and now the likes of me are taking a back seat to make way for people who come half way across the World and I think it's WRONG! 😛

I can see some of your points, but i myself am not proud to live here anymore.
Our country is tiny, and i dont see an end to immigrants coming here, its gone too far now.
Sooner or later true english people will be a minority in our own home country. It is too small for so many people coming to our country to live.
I know they have bad problems in their countries and have been through some things we will never have to go through, and i dont mean this rudely or racist or anything, i just dont think that all their problems and stuff should be our problem, i mean why do we have to sort it out for them and house them all? It's not our fault.
And most of their countries, that is their way of life, alot of them are born into wars etc and poverty, but they keep on having children.
Then the Uk has to sort it out for them? it doesnt make sense.
we have too many people in the UK who live in poverty as it is, but they aren't helped as quickly as immigrants are.Or even helped at all.
I just cant stand thinking about how england is going to be like in 20 years time.... 😲
