I'm a new member! Where do I start?
Firstly, welcome to JustParents! We're confident you'll find us a welcoming and friendly community.
The best place to start for new members who don't have an immediate question to ask is to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about you!
I didn't receive my activation email
We're sorry. Sometimes our emails get stuck in the internet tubes, or blocked by militant email providers.
If you can't find our registration confirmation email in your inbox or spam folder, please contact us with the email address you used to register and we can manually activate your account.
I forgot my username and/or password to JustParents. What do I do?
You can log into JustParents using either your username or email address, and the password you first used to register.
If you can remember either your username or the email address you used to register, you can easily reset your password here.
If you can't remember either your username or email address, there's not much we can do! We suggest you register for a new account (and write down your username!)

What do the abbreviations I see in the forums mean?
Parenting forums seem to have developed their own abbreviations for common terms used.
Here are the meanings for many you may see on JustParents.

Logged in members can start a blog by clicking the button which is displayed on the homepage of our blogs section
Other features
Help! Something isn't working on for me on this website
Our features and tools often rely on browser cookies and/or JavaScript to function correctly.
If you can't get a site feature to work, first try disabling any ad blocking software on your PC as these are known to occasionally cause issues.
If you're still having problems, or get an error message, contact us and we'll check for gremlins in the code.

How do I unsubscribe from emails
JustParents sends out several types of emails:
- Occasional newsletters about site features and updates. These emails may also contain selected partner offers, but we never sell our members email addresses to any advertiser.
- Reminder emails, for example if you haven't logged in for several months or if you have a blog on JustParents that's looking a little neglected
- Notification emails, for example if you've received a new private message or a response to a forum topic you started
In the footer of each email you receive from JustParents, you'll find an unsubscribe link that, if clicked, will instantly unsubscribe you from that type of email from us.
You can also choose what types of emails you get from JustParents by editing your profile
