What I liked most
The Tripp Trapp is expensive, but it earns its place because it feels like proper furniture rather than a short-term baby item. It pulls right up to the table, so family meals feel more natural, and the seat and footplate adjustments make it useful as a child grows. The chair is solid, easy to wipe down after messy meals, and has a small footprint compared with many padded high chairs. I also like that there are fewer fabric parts to stain or trap crumbs.
What could be better
The accessories add up quickly, especially if you need the baby set, tray or cushions. It also takes a little time to get the seat and footplate height right, and it is not as soft or cocooned as some high chairs for younger babies.
