Where do we all live??

Obviously not specific details but the area you live in.... Where do you live and what does your town or city have that makes it "special"?

I live in Annapolis Maryland in the US and it is the state capital and known as "the sailing capital of the world"!

I am in North Carolina and we are known for being the first in flight, also live near a famous race car driver. 😎

I live in the UK - to the East of England about 150 miles from London

i live in Malton in North Yorkshire in the UK and we're famous by being often visited by Charles Dickens, and this building (which is in town) was the inspiration for Scrooges workhouse in A Christmas Carol 😀

I'm constantly moving, but for the time being I'm in Brooklyn, working part time and living with my cousin.

We recently moved from Lincolnshire, in the same town where Margaret Thatcher and Isaac Newton are from, I went to the same school as Isaac Newton, ginger bread was invented there too. Now we now live in Ceredigion Cymru/Wales, I think the only credit it has is that Lord of the Rings is Cymru in the books.

Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Famous for Colmans Mustard, Bernard Matthews, Admiral Nelson, Sandringham (The Queen's 'country retreat') and farming.

Norfolk's also got a reputation as a bit of a backwards county, with country bumpkin accents, incest and eccentric habits. That's not really so true of the urban areas like Norwich, and I'm not originally from Norfolk so wouldn't fit the stereotype anyway! I do like the phrase 'Normal for Norfolk' though 🙂

I live in the North East of Scotland, on the Moray Firth coast between Aberdeena and Inverness.

Portsoy is famous for its 2 harbours (the old harbour is the most famous)

i live near weston-super-mare in somerset westons famous for the pier that burnt down, jill dando was from weston and lord archer (the peer that went to prison for perjury!!) also being from somerset we are famous for cider.. home of cider 😀 😀 ooo i forgot we are also the home of the amazingness wonderfulness awesomeness band.. THE WURZELS!!!!!!

Brooklyn NY?? I didn't know you were American also! (you've never made a formal intro post!) I'm only about 3ish hours from the City, we may be going up there in December....

I'm in England, Sussex, which is South/South East. It's a very old town with lots of heritage (which I really should know but can't for the life of me remember). For those of you who are Brits you will know some of the people that come from here, such as Nicholas Lyndhurst from Only Fools and Horses and Harry Enfield who went to the same college as me (but years before). Also the presenter Holly Willouhby(sp) went to that same college and was the year above me. Before he moved to the US years ago Phil Collins was just down the road (when I was a kid). Also fairly near are Peter and Jordan and whoever else has slipped my mind.
