Should we get rid of the avatar dolls?

I'm thinking about getting rid of the avatar dolls, and instead allowing members to upload their own little icon instead - Which could be a little photo or graphic or whatever people wanted!

There are a couple of problems with the current avatar system - notably that the avatar creator is a bit basic and the fact there is no way to have an avatar with non-white skin.

What do members think?

i LOVE my advatar i think its great i would hate to see it go isnt there any way we can have both so mambers can decide
please dont get rid of them i prefer my advatar to my pic lol shr is much nicer

I love the avatars what we have now, I would like to keep it, however, if it's causing problems then I'll be happy to change.

I'd be happy with either, i have to say tho i couldn't find a purple haired bit in the avatar section haha, but i would prefer to be able to upload my own avatar if i had to choose.

I love the dolls but i love little icons too what about a poll??

I don't have a problem either way but I think the dolls are rather sweet. Wish I looked like that really!

i too love love my avator reminds me of my slim day 🙂 lol isnt there an option to have both rob?

why not allow both? or find ethnic dolls if there is only white ones 🙂

I'd prefer to be able to upload one of my choice. This is about the only site I know of that doesn't let you do that.

The dolls have always been a bit cutsey for me, although I have always used them. Hiding behind a dolly is silly when you could have an avatar that reflects your true personality.

i like these avatars i wish i too looked like it. i think maybe both to but either would be fine 😀

Maybe a few more options would be nice but I love them. I've just spent a happy 10 minutes while I should have been working, setting mine up the way I like it.
I also like the way they, and the speach bubbles for the posts make the forum look friendly. I had a google seach for mum forums and this is the one that looks the friendliest.
I hope it lives up to it's looks now :-)

I dont think theres a bad one among us - unfortunately I'm back to minding full time from Monday so wont be on quite so often, prob just in evenngs 🙁
