Is this the start of labour or just wishful thinking!

Hi Girls and Guys

I might be being a bit thick here, just dont want to jump the gun being a first timer. I think i had my show yesterday morning (after thinking i had it last week!) and started getting what i presume are contractions half an hour apart (although not strong) at about five thirty yesterday evening. I have now just woken up and they are a bit stronger and about 20 mins apart. Its just i thought bubs was supposed to go quieter at this point but he hasnt.

any advice would be much appreciated.

My daughter was born with an emergency c-section 6ish weeks early so I never experienced any kind of labour but I wanted to say good luck if you are going. I hope all goes well for a healthy delivery!!! Keep us updated!!

keep an eye on your times write them all down

when i went i was expecting tummy pains but it was all in my back

it took me a while to figure out my back ahce was coming them going 😉

i called my hospital to ask what i should do and they told me to go in when my contractions were 5 mins apart or the pain was too much

so when contractions were 5 mins apart i went in (i was only 10 mins away) and then soon after i was told i can push and baby was born about 1 and a half hours later 😀

Ooooh sounding good - good luck hun. My contractions were like that for a couple of days before i went into full blown labour. If they aren't getting any stronger it could be braxton hicks? But sounds as though it won't be too long for you hun! Make sure you keep us informed - is soo exciting! Xx

thought i come on and give you an update.

I am now the poud mother of Baby Shane, born 19/09/08 at 1.30am and weighing in at a tiny 5lb 7oz. I am so chuffed and here are a couple of pics for you all.

Awwwwwwww 😍 he is absolutely gorgeous, i am so pleased for you 😀 . I hope all went well with the labour? It is such a massive high for the 1st couple of days you don't even realise how tired you are. Make sure you get as much rest and relaxation as possible hun. Well done you, am starting to get broody again already looking at your tiny little bundle - better not show df or he will be panicking that i will try and cajole him into having another! lol 😘 Xx

Thanks everyone for your kind congrats, I am so chuffed 😍 . He is such a contented littlun, he has slept though ever since we got home from hospital. hardly ever cries only when i get him naked to change him. but god does he feed a lot, he has already gone from 5lb 6oz on sunday to 5lb 10oz today!! looks like he is going to take after his Dad lol!

Id like to thank you all for all the advice you have given me throughout my pregnancy i dont think i could have got through all the panic without you all (cos could never get hold of MW!!!)
