Mixed weekend feeling and shopping
but you could still have them over for long weekends and if its somewhere like close to a city you could take them there for treats like cinema,.museums, etc
I spent my weekend ferrying kids round, ill kill for a weekend doing nothing wanna swap?
Well I did some stuff today but probably not the stuff I should have done. I spent a few hours cleaning my bike up so that next time I get a chance to use it, it won't still be dirty from my big ride. Then as there was nothing on the TV I went to the gym again (I will get that six pack).
Then with my chicken stir fry I sat down and finished watching a trilogy of DVD's (Resident Evil). What a crap end!
Back to work in the morning. Bored already! LOL!!
As you sound like you enjoy the fitness and cycling, are there any cycling clubs you could join? At least that way at weekends you could meet up and go for rides in a group or get to know a few people. I did that years ago when I started motorcycling - it was great fun and you didn't need to know anyone to do it but you soon made friends.
Are you interested in other activities such as martial arts or climbing? Again, probably some kind of club or course you could join to get to know a few people.
It is difficult in an area without the social interaction. I have a few friends who live nearby and say Hi to the neighbours (well, 2 of them, the other couple are totally braindead) but otherwise, like you, I wouldn't really know anyone around the area and I've lived where I am for over 5 years now!

I do a little climbing now and again, but usually only when I meet up with my sister. The nearest climbing wall I know of is near Southampton, about 45mins away.
