What would you do if you saw your first love ?

would you run screaming or stand and have a chat ?

or are you one of these people who married their 1st love ?

i would pretend i didnt see them and run a mile!!! i always dread that moment, especially if i am with my husband but hey i am happy now so nothing to worry about!!

I had a couple of BIG TIME crushes when I was at school who I said I 'loved' but my only true love is my husband. I even lost my virginity to him. Although I have slept with other blokes when we were split up in the past he was my first and the only man I have ever loved. If we ever split up and I was with someone else I know I still TOTALLY feel drawn to him, even if I ever loved someone else I'd still always love him.

Hmmm, now my first love, now I look back was a crush, and I don't think I would like him the same, since I was about 13 at the time 😀

My first love, I met when I was 14, almost 15 (yes, it was real love though) when I went and met my biological father for the first time. My Dad was a dive master in a harbor in Washington state and lived on a boat, so did I for a month. I met Nathan while he was vacationing there with his family and after spending one day with each other we were madly in love... we really were!! It was crazy... anyway, we stayed in touch for about a year, he was in California and I was in Maryland opposite sides of the country 🙁 after that we slowly lost contact with each other and I've always wondered how he was and is still.

So, if I saw my first love I'd be really excited after all these years and probably give him a big hug.... but it wouldn't change the way I feel about ma Mikey 😍

Yep, and looking back several of my first 'loves' were in fact plain ol' lust.

It's hard to define love, as it's something that I think is different for everyone, and an emotion which is at the deepest of levels (like lust, or hate..) which makes it hard to self analyse.

I guess my way of thinking would be if you'd be willing to give up anything, to do anything, to make someone happy and to be with them, then that's love not lust. (Of course there's a big difference between thinking/saying it and meaning it :))

yesh that makes sense to me anyone can say them 3 words but its actions and things you do for the other person that makes them know you mean it

back to the original question i dont think id run if i saw any of the guys who i "loved" but i would see how they would react to seeing me and if they wanted to say hi and chat then i would and if they didnt then it would be a little smile and walk on by i dont see the point in running and hiding it only makes you look bad if they see you and you not realised.

I bumped into "my first love/lust" right after my x-hubby and i seperated.I could not believe we had the same attraction and chemistry as we did when we were 15 BUT................
after catching up with him twice i couldnt see (apart from his good looks)what the big deal was about him 🤔 He was very into the club scene and all that goes with it (drugs,girls)so even when that second chance came by (i pinned after him for ages after we broke up)i was glad that i was mature enough to see that us hooking up again was not such a great idea.

to be honest id probably punch him and im not a violent person 😠

I see mine occasionally and go out for drinks with her and her boyfriend/fiance. Its all cool and we can laugh about the old times.

Funny you ask that saw him last saturday for the first time in years we just had a giggle about us, def no hard feelings there

On the subject of defining love, does anyone believe in only one person for you, i.e. soulmate. Or that there should be a flash bang of sparks or whatever and you know they are 'the one'?

My mum always told me you would 'know' the person you want to marry, so expected to know straight away as soon as I met this person.

when I first ever met Martin, I must admit there was an instant connection, but I would hand on heart say it wasn't love or that I knew I would marry him etc. There wasn't exactly sparks lol, we just seemed to be at ease with each other and liked each others company. We were like two old friends that had known each other for years!

We dated for 3 months then split up, but still were good friends (which drove the people we saw in between cracker as they were sure we were still seeing each other). We then got back together after another 3 months, but this time it was different, I knew this time I was in love. We both admit it was something that grew between us rather than hit us straight away, but it was weird that we both got on so well when we first ever met. Although I don't believe in soulmates either 🤔

well my first love was the person i lost my virginity to and we were together for 2 yrs after i chased him for 3 yreas at school.
if it was up to me id talk to him id be nice as pie as i think its in the past but he wont spkl to me cos appaerntly i broke his heart, but to be honest i was just so bored. i knowthat sounds mean but u tell me wot lad at the age of 17 who stays over his long term girl friends house and wears bart simpson pj;s. lol 😇

I saw mine two years ago when working in a hotel, he walked up to the desk and was with his wife on their first anniversary!

He introduced me as a friend but as soon as he said my name she raised her eyebrows! She was heavily pg and we had a great chat about babies!!!

She is lovely and i am glad they are so happy! Whenever i see him now we have a chat and often message each other on facebook! 😀
