well, here when you buy what I was talking about in the jar, it says cocktail sauce on it LOL... your dad's the chef, guess he knows though... we don't have any in the fridge right now or I'd take a pic of it 😉

ah...never had the "real" version, but I think I might prefer the "peasant's" version...
All this talk about it is making me want some shrimp cocktail though!
how i know to make it - as i myself (was) a caterer, we made it mayo, ketchup (which is the exact same as puree) and a dash of horseradish to add the tang.Never add salt as there is way too much salt in the produce anyways!
