OK, I was trying to start a protest for something on here but anyway....not sure if anyone saw my post explaining it, I apologize if there were any responses that I couldn't respond to.

I've decided to be a brat and stay this way for a bit (maybe I'm still in protest! for a different cause 😜 )

Well, it was for a after dark forum, but it's been thought to not be such a good idea by others I guess.

I want to ask for honest and open opinions here... from ALL of the members. Who would be interested in this (if it's even possible for Rob to do)... it was thought to be a bad idea because it may promote bitchyness and may leave some people feeling left out (although this was not expressed to me by Rob). That is not my idea for an afterdark forum... it's more for members to talk about things (not to gossip about other people!) that they may not feel comfortable posting for those random people who read posts but never sign up for an account here. It is not to exclude ANY of our members here, only so that non-members cannot read our personal thoughts and feelings.

Maybe a little vote here with a yay, good idea or nay, bad idea and explaining why you think it would be a good or bad idea.

Again, I don't even know if it's technical possible to do on this site but if it is, and considering I've had several people privately express to me that they would like this, I'd like to know how you guys feel about it.

I think its a great idea ....i think it would also bring people closer rather than exclude them ....i know from my past experience with a forum that glenny and i were a part of how close people can get then others come and go so ......the after dark idea makes sense to me....so that a yay ......but i,m not to sure about stripping my wee avatar to support it 😉

Thanks hun, unfortunately I didn't get to see any of the responses that were made to my original post about it.

as a member that doesnt come on very often i think i would be offended if i came on to find an "after dark" board for selected member only as imho that feels like a clique .

A "ladies" section to talk about sex, periods or other gynae issues sounds better but it leaves the men out so once again its another clique 🤔

Can i also add if members dont want people reading private thought or worries would it not be better posted in blogs so that only the members you want have access to read it?

TBH there isnt really a point hun as all that will happen is u get members signing up, posting etc to get access to after dark - so either way people u dont want looking are going to be looking at ur posts - as ive said before things u post online are public - unless u write ur own blog with a password that only YOU give out then anything can be gained access to hun - maybe just a health section would help for those "ladies problems" and of course we have blogs as its been said for more personal things xxxx

LOL, Sarah (and anyone else) no need to get stripped down... but I also don't know for sure that it's a no go... I'm just looking for opinions on it, why it may be a good idea and why it may be a bad idea... feel free to express your opinion hun!

im not interesting enough to start a blog either and if i did, i'd prob get chucked off the site for talking about bonjovi and all my fav tv programmes too much lol

Feel free to blog away hun! Blog about whatever you want to, I'm sorry I don't join in the threads about all the tv programmes, but being American I don't know what half of them are LOL... I should start watching BBC more shouldn't I?

I think it would be a great idea tbh! I know that people can be bitchy but I think most people would either ignore it or say 'look were aren't like that on here' if you see what I mean.

I for one wouldn't join in on a convo like that, and I think maybe if a strict set of rules were set out then they would be no excuse if someone stepped out of line. Maybe to stop people just signing up for the password, have the do so many posts or be around for a month+?

I've been on other forums with chat or after dark etc, and yes, some seemed to be a bit 'exclusive' but some were lovely too. I think it depends on the type of forum.

I really enjoy the chats on the boards on an evening, it would be quite nice to just have somewhere a bit more specific to do it 😀

bring it on would love this idea I love our late night chats and would love to do these more often,think its a good idea about the post count thing like you need to of posted so many posts before you get the password etc

Yep, for ALL members that would want to be a part of it. Although I do agree that there should be a certain number of posts made or that they've been a member for a certain about of time.

Again, I'm not even sure that it can be done, but since I've had soooooo many people request it to me privately I thought I would see if I could get the ball rolling.

I can assure you if it is set up for us... I will personally make sure there is no bitchy gossipy stuff going on there because I would not want to be a part of a community like that either 😠
