whats happened??????????

i dont think anyone was blaming the mods. i think everyone is just in shock and is angry. im just relieved i didnt post any pics.

Ok, I think I need to explain some things. We as a Mod and admin team had alot of suspicions about Sammie for a while, now the big reason we did'nt say anything about it was, what if we were wrong?...there was no way of knowing for sure so we had to build up a case study of her profiles, contact the previous sites she was banned from and find out the details, the last thing we would want is to ban someone who really was genuine. Unfortuantley the evidence stacked against her in this case ( Photos she had which had been badly photoshopped, going to Parent meets without any children with her, and alot of other evidence that did'nt add up ) At the end of the day, we are here to protect our members from such people, and I hope we are doing the best job we can for you all, but I hope you understand our reasons for not saying anything sooner than now, trust me it's been very difficult not to include you all in the investigation process, but we had to be sure. Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and the matter is now closed, we will continue to protect you guys as best as we possibly can, and if you have any suspicions of any members, PM one of us and we will look into it. I am farily sure that the members we have here are honest, genuine people, but there are people out there that simply need help, and Sammie is one of them and I hope she gets the help she needs.

Just a couple more things to add real quick while I have a minute....

Sammie was definately not a man... there were pics taken of her at a parent meet up from another forum... I have seen this pic, she's definately not a man.

To our knowledge, no one's pics were pinched from here, it is questionable whether the pics she was posting of "her family" were hers but there's no real way to prove that right now.

As some one put it, she is probably nothing more than a sad and lonely person with a lot of time on her hands... maybe something set her off like the loss of a child or some traumatic event... we'll probably never know... I am angry with her because I put my full trust in her as you guys did, and even tried to defend her when there were suspicions, I guess because I wanted to believe her... and somehow I still find myself feeling somewhat sorry for her...

I would just like to say like im sure all of the mod & admin team - thank you all for bearing with us on this situation - some people were pm'ed bcoz like candgsmum said they took part in sammies nephews prject etc and there obviously wasnt time to tell everyone before it got out.
You have all been reacting great on this matter and im pleased to say im part of this community.
as rich and hapydazy has said a LOT of stuff didnt add up.
As far as we were aware none of the pics she has used were off the parenting sites she posted on - more likely she googled for images and used what came up.
and as mentioned it wasnt posted publicly as we wanted to make sure we had a reason for banning her - as rich is right - u dont want to ban someone to find out they were innocent!

i was going to put jacob pics on once i have posted enough times (don't know how many i've done or need to do!?) but wont even consider to do so now. i wonder if this will put people off sites like jp?

Unfortuantley, there will always be people out there that crave attention like this, and I hope these people find some help or release from their torment. JP has a watermark feature that means that your pictures will be stamped with your username and the JP website address, which would deter any stealing of images. As Rob stated in another post in over 3 years this is the second case where someone was banned for not being who they say they were. We as a team of Mods and Admin have your safety at the forefront of our jobs here and will maintain a high profile of vigilance on this website so you can continue to post here knowing that you are being looked after.

Oh guys I sent her a letter for her 'nephews project'. I'm really cross now I know the truth but I'm glad that I was guarded enough not to put in any photos of us. If I had I'd feel so sick now. I'm still cross though and feel abit violated
