my poor james :(

hes in hospital waiting to have an operation. he was playing cricket and took a catch and has basically snapped the end of his finger. its also cut right to the bone too. 🙁

i have to be here with the kids so im just waiting for updates. just cant believe it

poor James. I hope they can sort his finger.

Is there no-one else to sit with kids so you can go up the hospital- you must be a wreck waiting at home.xx

no. i moved away from my family. all we have here is james' dad and he would stay with the kids but i cant drive. and im going completely out of my mind not knowing. hes never had an op before so hes sooo nervous. hes in York hospital which is 20miles away 🙁

hehehehe no he did tell me he caught it lolol

ive just heard hes going to have the op tomorrow. theyre going to put a metal rod through the bone otherwise it wont heal properly. poor baby 🙁

ouch poor thing hope he is ok and they manage to heal his finger back to normal

i didnt get alot of sleep but that was mainly thanks to my neighbours deciding to have a drunken screaming match at 1am grrrrrrrrr

spoken to james. still waiting for op. could be today. could be tomorrow. theres only one theatre open on a sunday at York hospital and orthapedics (sp) not being a priority. and because of that hes on nil by mouth. hes had nothing to eat or drink or any painkillers and hes in such pain. im sooo not amused

james' dad is taking me and the kids over to see him this afternoon, depending whether or not hes had the op.

well weve been to see him. hes so fed up bless him. no nearer to finding out when the ops going to be but its looking likely to be tomorrow, and if its under general he wont be out till atleast Tuesday 🙁 poor things supposed to be on holiday this week

he told me the tip of his finger from the knuckle was at a 45 degree angle ewwwww

oh no poor james sounds so painful 🙁

why wont he get out til Tuesday if the operate tomorrow? My mum had to have her wrist re-set after a fall and she was knocked out for the op but allowed out that night because everything was ok. I also know someone who took the top of his thumb with a circular saw and after he insisted they did the op that day (or he was leaving the hospital) he was discharged the same night after a general anesthetic.

I hope he gets home soon.x
