Following on from my Bun thread
ð You got me thinking lol, its funny how we all use different names for things so lets see how many we can get.
First one that springs to mind is Bum bags in America there called fanny bags ðē lol
or fanny pack... and we call trash trash as you all say rubbish (although some do say rubbish, older folks do)
what do you call a living room?... living in New England, USA they call it a parlor... when I lived in the south, was called a living room or wreck room.
side walk > pavement
couch > sofa
closet> wardrobe
fries> chips
pants > jeans! ð
am i doing this right ð

And my living room i just call room ðĪ lol
Lmao at parlor ðē
I THINK USA DO DONT THEY? ð

yep we call them potatoe chips and we call chips french fries..
what about the basement of a house... when I lived in Maryland it was a basement, up here in Rhode Island is the Cellar (or as they say cella.. I don't quite have the New England accent)
and we say pants and jeans, but not trousers (again, some older people men mostly will say trousers) ð we say sofa too but mostly couch and a closet is a wardrobe if it's not built into the wall (I guess a portable closet)
What do you call the thing you put your clothes in with drawers? I say dresser, Rhode Islanders say bureau...
Dressing table or just draws ð
bed side cabinet i say! ð
