Does anyone else do this?
I don't know about in the UK, but in the states we have Noggin and Nick Jr which are television stations that just have programming for pre-school age children. I constantly find myself singing the theme songs to the shows (Backyardigans, Blue's Clues, ect...) The other day my friend (mother of 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 year old boys) and I were having a conversation and the phone rang.... both of us (the adults LOL) at the same time sang "the phone, the phone is ringing... there's an animal in trouble" which is how the show "Wonder Pets" always begins... Are we the only ones who do this sort of thing? ð . Ok, another confession to make, one day my daughter was with her father and I was missing her like crazy so I went in her room and got in her bed and watched one of her Blue's Clue's DVD's (at one point, I think I even had a lil crush on Joe ð from Blue's Clue's, ok I know, I'm a little overboard with that one LOL!
erm well lol i like all the songs from the cartoons kieran watchs, like the song off lazy town " So we go up up
To the top
Move around and clap your hands together
Down down turn around
Having fun is what it's all about"
lol funny
and the whole thing abouit bein in her bed is normal i would do the same

Now that's the one that's going to be in my head for the day! We love to dance with Stephanie and the other Lazy Town kids when that song comes on! K, going off to watch Wonder Pets with Aaralyn now LOL
thats me! I do it and it bugs the ð out of me
whats going to work, TEAM WORK!!!!
I can now sing most of the songs from the backyardagains. and i know what is going to happen in them all ð
my kids love nick jnr and nick jnr 2. i personally cant stand the wonderpets, but i love go diego go ð
LOL! Ok, glad to know that my friend and I are not the only mom's who do this.
I'm forever singing along to the Thomas the Tank Engine tune... 'There two, there four, there six, there eight, shunting trucks and hauling freight....'
ð ð bbbb
WOW I'm not the only one?I fall asleep with my lo's songs swirling in my mind, he is crazy over the wiggles. We went to a concert last year and the adults were going off more than the kiddies.I am preparing my self for the next one in December YAY ð
Uh oh....I'm guilty of this too, you're not the only ones! How sad is this, I actually *miss* Nick Jr when it's not on!!! Lol. We love diego, backyardigans and the wonder pets here too. My twins only just started playgroup a while back and when they first went, I missed them so much, the house was so quiet I didn't know what to do with myself....so I turned on Nick Jr and had a singalong!!
Ok so you all know I'm sad now.

ha same here i love all the songs to mia's favourite cartoons! she doesnt watch nick jr much but she loves the cartoons on cbeebies! especially lazytown! haha so guess all mums must do this then? if you act like a child you will understand then better i think, haha well thats my excuse! ð
I think that is a very valid excuse!! And believe me I'm not one to have my child sit in front of the tv constantly but with her not being in school right now, she really does learn alot from the good kids shows. Her big special indulgance is Spongebob (mine too LOL!)
I just wanted to add... even thought Spongebob is not exactly a show for 4 year olds, she does say "Oh Barnicles!!" when she's frustrated about something instead of some other ð that sometimes come out of the mouths of babes LOL
definatly hun, much better than some things alot of other children come out with! i must say your daughter sounds like a joy to be around hun! xxx
Awww, thank you, she really is a joy to be around (except when she's whining for no reason or being a straight up punk ð LOL) but I know for everyone here (pretty sure anyway) they are all a joy to be around and can all be punks too (mine can't be the only one right?!)
edited to add that I am madly headover heels in love with the little punk! can ya tell?
god yes i had a right day with Mia Ruby yesterday, constantly hanging around my feet driving me mad! but she is a joy to be around too hun, and yes ya can so tell you love your daughter to bits hun, ð
crazy how much you end up loving this little person isnt it, i never imagined it at all! xxx
Yep! It's crazy, I remember before I was a mom people telling me that you don't know what real love is until you've looked into the eyes of your own child and now I know exactly what they meant. There are different levels of love I think and the love for your child is the deepest kind ð . Gotta go, AAralyn just came and asked me what I dreamed about last night LOL
hapydazy said:omg sponge bob kieran loves the song always lookin at the tv when it comes on and i love the show too so cool lol ð xxx
