A Mouse in my house!!!!!

Help!
i found a mouse yesterday afternoon, im not sure if it is just the one, as i saw one in the lounge last night too, it kept coming in and out. iv only seen one at a time...do you think maybe it is just the one? iv bought a humane trap so hoping to catch it tonight...the only thing i can do with it is put it at the back of the garden, as its just me and my dd here, so i cant go out without her in the night lol
i have the council coming monday, i think they will put poison down or something im not sure, dont really wanna kill them, just want it/them out of my house!!!!

any tips?? i feel so silly being freaked out by a mouse, its quite cute actually...i think its a field mouse, but i dont want it here!!!!

Its, probably just one thats got lost! Does remind me of my funny mouse story though,

Two days before I had Millie I was at home at lunchtime and the cat was winging to be fed, in the end I turned round and told him that if he was that hungry he should go and catch a mouse. Half an hour later he came in through the open patio door with something in his mouth which of course was a mouse. Wouldn't have been so bad but the bloody thing was still alive. He spent about half an hour chasing it around whilst I tried to catch it before 'loosing' it under the washing machine where I assumed it died. When hubby came home I got him to move the washing machine and sure enough there it was looking very dead. That is untill hubby went to scoop it up when it ran off again! He screamed like a girl and I was wetting myself laughing at him. In the end we caught it and put it out but I am sure that all the excitement contributed to Millie being 10 days early!

LMFAO!!! that really made me chuckle!! im getting a kitten in the next couple of weeks (hopefully!) so im hoping the smell of it keeps the mice away...it was playing peekaboo last night grrr! they are so quick arent they!!

Aaaaaarrrgggh!

I hate 'em! Had a couple in our house. I locked myself in the kitchen until the litle horrors had been removed, my hubby had to ring my BIL both times to help with the pest control!

i caught the bugger!!! i set it free in the park (well nest to the park..lots of bushes and that) its about 1/4 a mile away do you think thats far enough?? someone said more than a mile but it wasnt possible at the time lol iv set the trap up again (all cleaned lol) to see if i catch anymore grr lol

I have cats in my roof that i can't seem to get rid off-but that cat sound meowing in the roof right on top of Noa's room is driving me batty-and don't know that the constant meowing is better than the squeaking sound of mice (okay it is but still)-arrghhhhh-at wit's enbd already!
