Joseph is being referred
to the surgeon 🙁
(guys cross your legs!!)
GP is concerned that his foreskin hasn't loosened off in the last 18mths so he has to go see about a circumcision. Joseph asked why he had to go see the speacial doctor and it was hard trying to explain it without scaring him or making it sound painful. I know it is the best thing for him if he has to have it done and recovery time is quick (about 1 week) when they are young but it still is sore!! Hoping we get the appointment through quickly, unlike the other hospital and his chest problems.
Sorry, to pry, but what way hasn't it loosened? Mikey's doctor tried to have Mike's circumcised as his foreskin wont retract, even though his foreskin shouldn't even retract until the onset of puberty.
Samuel said:It is very tight at the end and when he wee's it blows up like a balloon. he had acute ballanitis last year (he was passing out with the pain it was that bad) which apparently can be caused by very tight foreskin. my GP says he should be able to retract some of it already(but it can take until the boy is 5 -7 before this happens, hence the reason he has waited until Joseph is almost 6) but his wont shift at all. GP has monitored it since his infection and has decided as he is almost 6 he should have it checked by the surgeon as there has been no improvement in 18ths.

aw you have my sympathy, bless him, wqe thought Tom had this when he was about Josephs age, i hope that it works for him and god luck
It's not common, but it does happen. In the US I believe they circumcise almost every single buy under "health" grounds. If you ask me its just another way for everybody to make money.
Recovery is quick and leaves no complications later in life, and it will be much more comfortable for him than the issues he is sufferring from. Speaking from experience! Plus the train I got for the my electric train set afterwards helped to forget about it.

Hi Alex, hun its not nice when our lo's have to go to hospital for anything Vic has had to have two op's before he was four he was ok with it but i was a mess (as parents usually are).Vic had to go and have a hydro seal closed when he was two or three they made two small incisions through the groin,he was running around later that same day although he was meant to be resting lol.Give Joseph a big hug from us and we hope it all gets sorted and he doesnt have to endure anymore pain. 😘
Joseph had his appointment today with the peadatician.
What a horrible man he was.
He had Joseph lie on the bed as he prodded and pulled at his bits, Joseph was really distressed and in a lot of pain and the STUPID doctor said " it is ok I know what I am doing"
I have never seen Joseph so anxious. Anyway the doctor decided the skin was sooo tight that the cream they often used wouldn't work and he would refer him onto the surgical team. 🙁
What a horrid doctor, my ES has a similar problem but my GP has decided to leave it and see what happens as he gets older but if it does become to tight or he has more problems then he will be refered. Good luck with the surgical side and I hope Joseph recoves quickly and he never has to see that horrid doctor again
