for anyone that lives in the country
help really want to locate to the country (northumberland) I would like to sell our home and rent a house,somewhere that is quiet with a garden but soemwhere that has a school etc nearby,my question is how did you find your house etc,have tried estate agents etc online but only found a handful of properties,can anyone help regarding estate agents or websites???any advice needed
If you visit areas you would like to live, quite often you see boards up "To Let". Also visit local estate agents/letting agents.
It may be that you are looking to rent, our first house was my grandmothers, but our new house took quite a while to find, but thinking back we never saw a single house in the countryside to rent that wasn't a working home, none were near any schools or shops either, but that is the same for our old home.
Where abouts are you looking to go in Northumberland?
possibly hexham but will consider anywhere as long as it has schools nearby,looking for a small village type place with lots of green around,I have found a few houses but some of them are in the middle or nowhere which is no good to me,
Ah, you want urban, in Northumberland a lot of property is sold for tourism, or the owners keep the house and do tourism rents, which is why availability or property can be pretty sparse there, we wanted to move near Sea Houses.

We drove through the village where we are now, however it is pretty local to where dp grew up originally so we knew the area well and would travel through around here atleast once a month anyway.
We actually went to look at another house and i just broswed the website of a certain surveyors and there it was, so we had a drive out and a peep throuh the windows.
