An update on the extension

well this week has been sooo long. I have been leaving the house at 8am every morning and not getting home again until 5.30pm. We go to preschool in the morning but afternoons we are at a loss a lot so have been sat in mikes car at his work so Jake can take a nap and Lolly has been watching fireman sam on a cheap dvd mum got her. I have had to listen to the same dvd over and over as she loves it 🤔 It is soo hard having to keep the kids out all day while they finish up, still thank god it is only this week, i am so pleased i decided to go to mums for the previous 2 weeks or i think i would have gone completely insane by now.
Anyhow we are getting there, the carpenter has been in and fitted the door frames and skirting, the electrician was in today so we are now all wired up, the plummer has fitted the radiators for us. The builders have been rendering outside for 2days and still have a path to lay, plus they need to do a couple of small jobs for me, fitting a shelf and pole in the wardrobe for me etc. Then we are all done. I am so pleased with it and can't believe what a difference it will make when i can use the extra space and move the furniture etc. Mike's nephew is going to come and paint it for us as he is unemployed at the mo and wants something to do anyway. Now i just have to choose a colour....Arrgghhh so hard, at the moment i have 11 different testers on the wall and i still can't make a decision. I also have to choose the flooring that is going in the dining area of the exptension. There is just too much choice. 😊 Mikes friend is going to come and lay it for us and as he owns a flooring shop he is doing it for us for cost price too 😀 We have been really luck so far, and nothing major has gone wrong so fingers crossed it carries on that way. I will try and get some piccies on here of it soon. I am so pleased we did this and didn't move, even though i know i have just been moaning about it all. It is amazing how an extra couple of metres makes the world of difference to the way we will be living! Soo excited 🙂 lol

Glad all is going well, sounds like they are doing a good job of it. Will be good to see you back on here on a regular basis too

Something we are thinking of is an extension in the future, it's nice to hear of one that has gone well instead of being a disaster with bad builders.
