is outspoken and bitchy the same thing?

i am what you would call a very outspoken and opinionated person but i like to think that i don`t go out my way to be nasty or bitchy but obviously some people take it this way 😊

I think you can be outspoken without being bitchy.

Bitchy is when you aim it at someone personally.

Debate often get heated because we believe in the topic we are dicussing.

Outspoken is good, its a free word, we just have to make sure it is done safely and within boundaries.

Thats why sites like this need a good set of mods to keep things under control IMHO

I agree Judey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, which is one of the good things about living in a country like ours. We take it for granted, but in other countries you can get severely punished just for expressing your own opinion! Debating can be a great way of getting people to see things from a different perspective, as often people get stuck in a certain way of thinking.

There is definitely a line though, and you can just tell from a gut instinct when someone is being bitchy rather than outspoken. If you are outspoken, then you won't be deliberately aiming comments at any people, for no reason. If you are bitchy, there will be a slight slant on the comments, to put someone down or persuade other people not to like them.
