new gym member here!! lol

Tonight will be night no.2 of going to the gym with my SIL. We had so much fun last week, they have big tv's you can watch through earphones while on the bikes/running machines etc. Plus we got to have a great gossip and i got to be me for an hour or so and not just mum 😀 (does that sound really bad?) All this while getting fit (well, ish! lol) why have i never been before?? hehe. I thought i would be aching like mad last wednesday morning but i surprised myself and didn't ache much at all. As well as other things i had managed to cycle around 10miles in the time i was there. 😀 Have to get used to that cross trainer thingy though, i had to wipe my nose while i was on it last week and lost my rhythm then couldn't catch up my arms to my feet again! 😊 lol Xx

10 miles eh thats pretty good going. Having some one to go with def makes it more fun thats for sure

I will have to join up after number 2 as the weight is piling on

I have a cross trainer at home they are hard work thats for sure

Glad your well

xxxx

Well done for going! It is definitely more fun going with somebody. I spend most of the time by myself at the gym. I have been with my brother a few times when he has been around and that is good as we push each other beyond the normal boundaries.

Well done hun keep it up. 😀

well done!!! 😀

Oh I missed this hun, well done you!!! 😀

One of the mums I know from Lottie's school has asked if I fancy going to the gym she's joined with her sometime, its lady's only too!

Good going Mandy!! I have a gym here where I live which I can use any time... do I? no. Should I? yes. Maybe I'll get some inspiration from you!! 😀

Thanks guys, I have had so much fun in the last couple of weeks. I have really enjoyed myself there and it hasn't seemed like a chore at all. My SIL had to change the day this week so we actually ended up going on Wednesday instead but i managed around 45min in total on the bikes on level 7 (whatever that means? lol) plus 7min on the cross trainer (which is knackering!) hehe. Also did a couple of small weight thingys but am making sure it is not really to get muscle just to tone as i don't want to be a muscly woman - although i think it may take a while before i have to worry about that anyway!! hehehe

Tammy find someone to go with and i reckon you will have a ball! 😀 I had everyone in the gym in hysterics i was having such a good time on wed! 😊

Bumping this thread up out of my own curiosity 😀
Are you still going? I used to go to the gym all the time. It was a huge part of my life until $$$ started to get a bit tight. I went from couch potato to competing in my first triathlon thanks to regular gym visits. Not something I EVER thought I'd achieve, but having the goal kept me motivated. I'm a long way from that level of fitness again now 😢 so I've just started jogging again. Would love to do another tri later this yeat - just have to get myself focused again.

Brilliant!! Cycling is such good exercise
