I really didnt know honest!! part 2
Well were we, I had now gone from finding out I was pregnant to being 38 weeks in the space of a week! they rushed me into the midwife on duty and she gave me an internal, confirming the findings but then giving me my bounty pack and saying to go home and pack my bag as the head was engadged!!(could this get any more crazy).well Knowone could believe our story and people still do find it hard us included but the out come was that I went two weeks over the date they thought thank god! and then was induced which lead to my back waters breaking but nothing else so myself and the baby got an infection so that then lead to an emergancy section,at this piont we were so confused but there on the 30-11-01 was our baby boy,who weighed in at 9lbs14.5oz.He was amazing and his entry to this world was amazing,I cant quite believe it to this day and we are five years on now.
I hear you ask "How didnt you know" well the truth is I dont know but I didnt, now I think back the signs were there but I ignored them or put them to other things like my stomach moving around was just a bad case of wind, my breasts leaking was breast cancer so i thought, the fact I was tired was that I was doing three Jobs and just moved into our own house! the two nets of oranges a day and not being able to stomach the smell of meat cooking I can not explain but I had no morning sickness either, people say I had the best pregnancy ever, breezed through it but I wouldnt recomend it, you feel like you have missed out on such a lot and your head does get a little messed up to say the least. I am just glad I was not alone through it and that I had John (the hubby ) to share th experience. well there you go If you have managed to read both parts and reached the end then feel free to give your thoughts and comments i would love to hear from you.xxx kel
Thats incredible, must have been an imense shock to the system tho, a lot to get your head aroud in such a short time!
it was really frightening to be honest as I dint understand half of what was being said to me as I had had no preperation time
Wow couldnt believe that happened to you.
thanks for sharing your story, that is amazing!
I think each pregnancy is very different. I know 100% i could not have not known i was pregnant but i do know of other women who have hardley shown and been able to carry on pretty much as normal. I was HUGE! there was no mistaking it!
You sound like you have come through the whole thing really well and i bet it was very hard. 😀
Oh I was huge Gemma now I look at pics of that time, but being a bigger lady I dont take much notice of my figure unless im ready to deal with it!! the funny thing is just before I found out I found my clothes were not fitting so I had a tantrum and through out all my clothes and went and bought larger ones only to find after shedding two stone once i had him I needed to buy a whole load more.ooooopps!! 😊
That is really fascinating to me as I noticed changes in my body right from the start before I'd even done pregnancy tests. But then maybe I was looking for signs as I was trying to get pregnant whereas you didn't think you could. But I'm amazed by you story. 😲
That is one story !!
I must admit it sounds scary tbh - think your all much stronger women than ill ever be 🙁
Congrads hunn xxxx
wow hun. thats an amazing story.
I must admit if you don't know what you are looking for you would probably pass symptoms off but I have regular periods so I knew when they didn't appear that I was pregnant, though I was in denial when I fell pregnant with Charlotte for a week or so (I did my test when I was 2 1/2 weeks late)!
My best friend knows someone who didn't realise they were pregnant until she was 8 months and she didn't show hardly! My sister in law was three months pregnant before she realised also.
i know a bit about how you feel hon i didnt find out til about five months. i didnt show and i just put down the late periods to working long hous moving house and not eating properly. if it hadnt been for my partner nagging me i probably would not have taken the test when i did. i too passed off the little signs as stomache ache and working too hard etc. the woest thing was when i found out i tried to work out the dates only to finally get a scan and find out i had even less time to perpare. i went from what i thought was 22 weeks to 27 weeks and 2 days. it was all a bit hurried thats for sure. 😀
There was a storyline similar to this on ER once-about a teenage mum who thought she was having stomach pains and ended up delivering....twins-heehee
That's an amazing story.
I'm not surprised you got frightened though. When i got pg with our eldest i at least got 8mths to get my head round the idea...heaven knows what i'd have been like with just 2wks 😲
To be honest I couldnt let the fear get in the way at the time as we just had to throw ourselves into being parents and dont get me wrong I loved it but when the madness eased and the midwives were not round every couple of days and people began to leave us be then I would sit and cry sometimes as the whole thing seemed unreal!
