pay cut at work at 21 weeks pregnant

I am 21 weeks pregant and work turned round last week and said with the recession i need to take a pay cut

I have worked there over 6 six years and feel that my pregnancy has alot to do with it. Of course they say not.

They have me over a barrel really as i will want my 9 months maternity paid leave and holiday owed. I called acas and my work can do this.

Its a shit time for all of us and some have it alot worse by loosing jobs which must be awful. Its just come at such a rubbish time, mind you when is a good time?

Has anyone else come across anything like this?

well lets put it this way i only work 2 days a week and my salary will be £200 less so yes they are 😠

Oh no Paula, that's terrible. What a blummin cheek. I can't believe it is legal to do this 😠 Obviously you are the perfect candidate for them to do this too as you are only part-time and are going on maternity leave in a few months. I really feel for you hun. Somebody needs their bum booting (trying to be polite!) lol. 😘 😘 😘

What a rotten thing to do to you at this point in time 🙁 I does smack of you being a 'suitable candidate' doens't it. So sorry to hear this. 😘

Has everyone else in your department / team etc been given the same treatment or is it just you?
If everyone is in the same boat then it is just POOP timing and that is rubbish but there is not a lot you can do.
However if there are other people who do the same job as you etc and they have not had the same thing happen then I would push and ask why you are a suitable candidate and they are not?
I hope it all sorts out for you.
