Another exciting thing in my life....
Some of you may remember that I was in touch with my half brother about a year and half ago through myspace?... well now it's my half sister this time through Facebook!!! I'm sooooo super excited!!
I had told my brother a while back that he could give Maria (my sister) my email address if she ever wanted to contact me, well she never did so I let it go, until recently. The other day I found her on FB and I emailed her taking a chance that I might not hear back from her, well I did and she's really excited too!!!
We've exchanged catch up emails and she's already given me her phone number and told her to call her when I felt comfortable and she knew a may be awkward at first and it was ok 🙂 I'm soooooo nervous to call her, I think we should exchange mail for a little bit first??
She's 20 years old, goes to an art school in California (that's where Aaralyn gets it from), she sounds like such an incredible girl and soooooo sweet!!! She's really excited about getting to know Aaralyn too and said she knows she will want to meet us someday in person./... the last time and only time I ever met her was when she was around 6 or 7 years old!!!
Now your FB staus makes sense.

thats great news tammy i think your right having contact by emails to begin with give you a chance to catch up before the nervous first call.
im sure aaralyn will love to get to know her new found auntie maria as much as maria will love getting to know you and aaralyn again.
i really hope it all works out for you hun, its always great when families find each other again.
Thanks guys! I think it will work out, may take a little while to build a relationship but she really genuinely seems excited about it... I think my brother is still now sure what to make of it LOL, but I still keep in contact with him. I have a feeling with Maria it will be more frequently... oh and she's 22 now!! 😲 had my years mixed up.
Awww, i saw your status too and wondered? Now i get it! I am really pleased for you hun, sounds like a great opportunity to get to know some more family again. You can neverhave too many family and friends around you that's for sure! I agree with the get to know you e-mails first too hun. Although i have a feeling it won't be long before you are both dying to talk in person. It will be great for Aaralyn too 😀 What fab news hun, think it is going to be a good year for you Tam! 😀 Xx

My sister (half too) didn't speak for 18 years and she phoned me out of the blue on my 40th birthday to wish me a happy birthday and we've been in touch since. To be honest, when she called and said happy birthday, I asked who it was. She said "It's Kate" and I said "Kate who?" and she said "Your sister". So, if we can do it - you can!! 😀

well, i am new here so i hadnt seen your earlier posts. but i have always enjoyed reunions. coz even i have a half brother and a sister, i got in touch with them two years back when she was 18 and brother was 16. they now come to place quite often. it really feels to share a lot with them coz i was an only child, now we are three
