wedding invites - when did you send yours?
hi all getting married in july and really not sure when to send invites out, i like to get things done in pleanty of time and they sat with their stamps on them ready to go , any ideas please
How long does it take you to buy an new outfit to go to a wedding in? Then most people have to have four weeks notice to book a day off work, ours were sent two months before, my mum sent them out as she knew we wouldn't of bothered.
We also sent our invites out two months before as Samuel said most people need a bit of time to get organized or time off.
send them now before people book their summer holidays, i got married in September and i sent my invites out in march about 6 months before it give people time to plan their year and because its in the summer people especially those with kids will be booking holidays.
thank you lucy , i was hoping someone would say that lol as thats what i was thinking but you cant tell ya parents , im 33 and im sure they still see me as 18 when it comes to things like this pmsl
no worrys hun, its always safe to err on the side of caution
I sent mine 2 months before also, but I had a winter wedding so people didn't really have other plans at that time of year.
I think traditionally you are sposed to send them out 6 - 4 months before.
I did and it was best to give people as much notice as possible - unless you have already sent out 'save the date' cards. That buys you more time. But then who can afford both?
