It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....

.... everywhere I go

My place is starting to look Christmassy!! 😀 Still haven't done the tree yet because I need a new tree stand, then one I have ain't cuttin it. Mike came by this evening with some ornaments for the norfolk island pine tree his mom gave me, she had some little things to go on it so she asked him to give them to us. She also gave me a few around the home decorations as well. Mike also went by the store and bought some new things for the tree, a few especially with Aaralyn in mind 😍

She gave him a huge guilt trip tonight and I felt so bad for both of them. When he brought us home last night after getting the Christmas tree he promised her that he would come over tonight and see her and bring some more things (which to her was secondary to just seeing her Mikey)... so, he called this evening and asked that maybe he could come over tomorrow because he was running behind schedule today and tonight, I told him no problem and then he asked to talk to Aaralyn.... well, I heard from her end of the conversation " 😢 But Mikey you promised!! A promise is a promise!! 😢 " she then said "ok, hold on" still in tears and handed me the phone. As soon as I got back on the phone Mike told me he'd be over in 15 minutes. She was truly heartbroken and he was not going to have that because of a promise from him unkept... It's things like this that he does that are going to really make me miss having him as my boyfriend but so happy that he's still our friend.

Oh and I guess I could end this with: for those of you who don't know already, Mike and I are "just good friends now" 🙁 kinda long story but not really, I'll leave it at that. It's all good, and we still have a really good relationship in tact for Mike and I and Amber and Aaralyn 🙂

Promises are so important to children. I can understand that. I have had to be VERY careful about promising things to Jasmine as she has a memory like an elephant!

Mike and I were talking about maybe taking her to Tobago the year after next. She's managed to turn that into we ARE taking her then. She keeps on about how excited she is about going there. Talk about pressure 😲 I said to her we would TRY and do that but we can't promise as it's expensive. I think I've got that through to her now but had I of promised, there would have been no going back on it at all.

Damn you for putting that song in my head too Tammy Ha, ha.

I'm starting to feel Christmassy too. Mind you, I have no idea at all what to get Mike this year. He's not into the usual boys toys of slogan t-shirts, remote controlled stuff or PC gadgets and we're on a budget this year with me not working. Any ideas would be appreciated! 😲

Aww i am so pleased Mike hasn't distanced himself too much form you both hun. It really is important for Aaralyn and it seems he realises this too! We want those christmasy pics of your home posted soon hun! 🙂 lol Xx

I just took this with only lights so far.... we're waiting to hear back from Ren before we do the rest because they may come over and celebrate and do the tree with us! Mikey was going to stay too but he's heading down to GA for a long drive to pick up his Grandma to bring her back for Christmas.

It will look great hun when you've had your 'decorating party' (not that it doesn't now lol).

I'll have to take pics of ours, I say ours because we have a small tree in the front room decorated by the kids and a large one in the dining room.
