Christmas Spirit tonight!! 😀

We had such a good time tonight at the Christmas Tree Lighting. There was a choir of really young kids singing Christmas carols and then a group of older kids did a really cute with some of them dressed up as rudolph and snowmen and an elf. They sang and did little dance numbers to a bunch of Christmas songs and after that all the other kids there were invited up to sing songs until Santa arrived.

It was great watching the kid's anticipation (and even some adults!) for Santa to come. The guy MC'ing the event (a local radio dj) told all the kids they had to sing really, really loud to get him to come over there and boy did they!!! 😀 unfortunately my battery was almost dead on my camera but I think I got 2 pics in (it's charging now so I'll see).

I really needed tonight big time! 🙂 Aaralyn had a blast, was in awe of the dance show and her and Azure both said they wanted to join the Dance Group 😀

Ahhhhh, it's finally hit me that Ol' Jolly feeling 😀

I got some other really good news but it's 10:15pm here and my butt is whipped so I'm going to bed and I'll post about it in the morning (nothing to do with the other situation that I've spoken to some of you privately about though...) but really good just the same!

oh and HAPPY FRIDAY GUYS!!!!! 😀 (for me that just means I don't have to get Aaralyn up for school for 2 days! but good deal for you that have weekends off from a job!!)

Happy friday to you, tbh I'm sick of being at home, getting up in the morning to get charlotte ready for school is something to do 😊 Linda, Marts mum, has taken George off shopping with her so I assume I probably won't see him again until this evening lol! He'll be getting treated by his Aunty Vikki because it was pay day for her today 😉

I ended up only getting one picture before the battery went dead, dang it! 😠

Aaralyn and Azure are to the left side, this was while they were singing for Santa to come... The lady next to the guy with the mic is our Mayor (Head of the City, so to speak) and the guy with the mic was the MC of the event.

As you can see it was very kid/family oriented with tons of kids there... only one little scary thing happened, there was unfortunately a very intoxicated and what appeared to be homeless man walking about the crowd talking to himself and then there was an announcement made for any medical professional to come forward as someone had passed out in the crowd... it turns out it was this man 🙁 That was sad but it helped to put things a little more into perspective for me right now as I know there are soooooo many people in this world who have far less than me... it made me really think and appreciate even more what I do have in my life (kinda why I had the tear when I tucked my little girl into her warm bed last night 😍 )
