had a pre-Thanksgiving night dillema but it's solved....

It's always been a tradition (pre-Aaralyn) to go out and party it up the night before Thanksgiving... I've not done that in a few years now and happily so. This Wednesday evening there are several options that I could have that involve going out and seeing some bands. Mike and I (through him) have quite a few friends who play music and have gigs that night... Ren has had plans to see a friend's band called Blue Miracle that is playing her locally and her niece has cancelled out on her to babysit.... so..... my dilemma is solved, I'm staying home with the kids and couldn't be happier about it! 😀 ... It's also going to prevent me from having a possible hangover I might have had on Thanksgiving Day, if I did go out because I might have drank a few beers 😉

Ren's offered to pay me for watching Azure... she was going to pay her niece anyway but I feel really weird about accepting money from her because it's a fun play night for Aaralyn too (and finances are as tough for Ren as they are for alot of people right now) and she's a really good friend now. She's offered many times to take Aaralyn over night in trade for the times that Azure has stayed here and one of these times I'm going to take her up on it but should I accept a money payment from her this time? Mike says Hell yea! LOL and she's one of his good friends too! So, yea, I guess there's another little mini dilema there 😉

Sounds like you are sorted for thanksgiving.

I couldn't take money from a friend for watching her kid, no matter how hard up I was. It really is up to you (Im a lot of help aren't I) Let her have Aaralyn and then you and Mikey can have quality time together (a soak in the bath, 😏 , brekkie in bed) you get the idea.

I hope you have a great fun night with the kids hun. I have to say, i wouldn't be able to accept payment for looking after a friends child either hun. I kind of feel it is nice to help each other out in times of need. ie. you watch azure and she can watch Aaralyn for you sometime, whether for need or just as a playdate for azure. That way neither of you feels indebted to the other. Especially as you are both struggling a little bit with finances at the moment. As Alex says you could have a fab night and morning with Mikey sometime if Ren has Aaralyn for you! Xx
