horrible dreams!

this may sound silly to everyone but its really bothering me.
not every night but a couple of nights a week i have horrible dreams about people in my family and it upsets me for the rest of day, offten i wake up crying, sometimes to the point i can hardly breath. 1 i had was about having a fight with my mum, this sounds silly i know but i am so close to my mum, she is my best mate. this dream really upset me to the point i had to ring her just to hear her voice.
the one i had last night was about my husband leaving me for someone else and laughing in my face. when we got up this morning and he went to leave for work i got upset and started crying, lucky he is such a nice man, he gave me a hug and told me that will never happen and has text me continuously all morning.
why do i keep having these dreams, they are really starting to effect me.
(sorry if i sound silly as i am an adult and should be able to deal with it)
thank u for taking the time to read this! 🙁

Strange things dreams are'nt they...but rarely they will come true. Are you worried about anything at the moment, as deep feelings, such as Stress, worry, nervousness and a host of other feelings tend to manifest themselves in our dreams. Anything happened recently to make you feel anxious or insecure about something?...have a good think about recent events in your life and see if you can match them up to your dream cycle...but don't worry hun, the dreams you mentioned are just that and nothing more...I know they can be very real at the time, but try and put them out of your head 🙂 😘

thanks. i was recently told i cant have kids without ivf, which is very upsetting but we are goona try ivf next year, maybe that has somethinkg to do with it........who knows 😕

Hi hun!
I have these dreams too!
Seem to have them more while im pregnant - having them atm as i did when pregnant with charlotte - mainly about the birth and nothing going right etc.
Atm i keep having dreams that df leaves me and goes off with someone else - i think all this is coz its stuff im worrying about and my mind goes into over drive at night - i too wake up sobbing my heart out and have to cling on to df t make sure he's still there! So dont worry hun ur not the only one xxxx

I get really unpleasant dreams too, your not alone!

I find they are worse at times where there are high levels of stress or anxiety. And they rarely have any direct link to life.

Personally i do do a bit of dream analysis, but dreaming about say arguing with you mum - most likely would mean something completely different anyway!

Try not to worry, it is upsetting tho

xXx

thanks everyone for u'r kinds words!

i dont want to sound nosey but how old is your little one?

Hi chick, when you wake up and you go over the dreams try to rationalise them on a scale of one to ten,If they seem scary enough to warrent seven or above then deal with these first like phoning someone to hear from them for reassurance or talk to your hubby,If they are lower then you can say to yourself these are not that scary afterall and they cant hurt me,try this technique,it is not for everyone but worked for me,give it a go it cant hurt to try, just remember, none of your thoughts are stupid they are an indication of how you feel and that makes them very important,If you need to have a good chat then message me any time,

don't take this the wrong way i hope you find it helpful but it sounds like post-natal or pre-natal depression or it could even be paranoia dont panic over it but it would be better to speak to your GP or a councillor. i hope you find anything im telling you helpful. i keep suffering from bad dreams now about people getting into my home and hurting my family in the worst ways possible but iv spoken to my mum about it who suffered from the same and then spoke to a pharmasist who said to try and relax before you sleep have a hot bath dont watch anything with any type of bad things in if anything watch cartoons. dont eat before you go to bed. make sure you are completely relaxed if that doesn't work then i really suggest you speak to your dr. thinking of you believe me i know what your going through. xxxxx

I cant say I've ever personally had dreams that have upset me that much so cant really comment from a personal point of view. (If I have had bad dreams I very rarely remember them)

I do know of friends though who have had dreams like this which has been deep rooted down to stress and other major denominators in their lives. One friend had some counselling and another tried reiki (head massage thing I think) and it completely relaxed her and a lot of her stress was shifted.

It might be worth talking to your gp if you know you do have a major stress thing happening at the moment (obviously the ivf situation wont be helping). Do the offer you counselling for this anyway.

Hope you manage to have some much nicer dream soon 😘
love
Alison

oh im sorry hun i didnt realise you were having ivf.
the reasons could just really be depression so i do really suggest you speak to your dr or a councillor.
