Not really sure where to post
Its about pregnancy but its not mine and it's sort of a moan aswell.
One of my friends Craig and his gf Michelle had their 20 week scan today and were treated like ð as far as i'm concerned.
They were told they couldn't find out the sex (which is understandable as not always can it be seen)
They weren't told of the welfare of their unborn baby
They didn't get to see the heartbeat on the monitor and
The scan photos came out burly which blank strips through it.
ð
I think this is really bad, also it is their first child so they were really excited but let down ð
That really stinks, what a disapointment ð
Will she get more definate results at a later time as to how the baby is doing as far as the scan went??
That was her last scan, we have two scans here one at 12 weeks and another at 20 weeks, so know she just got to wait to see her midwife on Monday, i said i would write a letter of complaint as to the way they were treated, as not knowing the welfare of the baby can also cause alot of stress and worry
That's the whole point of the scan right??? Geezzz, I would be asking more questions for sure, tell her to complain definately!!
I said to her it's not even my baby and it's annoyed me, im now glad i am going to the hospital for my scan ad not the doctors that is nearer for it
Oh hun that is truely awful - your poor friends!!
I was amazed this time how much detail we were shown and told, in omparison to when i had Goergie....
I would definately be complaining - they've been treated horrendously! ðĪŠ
Not sure if she will complain also she is only 17 so is young and on the under 18's midwife team but i hope she speaks out, will find out monday
That's awful hun ð , how disapointing for them. I would definitely complain. It's like they think because she is only young she won't bother complaining! Unfortunately, it is easy to feel intimidated by the medical profession at a young age, especially if it is your first as you don't know what to expect and just take things you are told as red! I would let her know that if there is anything she doesn't understand or wants explaining to her then to ask hun! Maybe you could offer to go to an appointment with her if she is nervous of asking things? I hope she gets some answers hun ð Xx
When I had Charlotte we were shown everything and the sonographer took time to listen to our concerns and show us everything. She was really patient too as she couldn't get to see a part of the spine which is important to check, so she had us going around the hospital to see if she'd move, but she never complained! WE got an extra scan pic for free too!!
With George it wasn't as informative, but they still assured me that everything was fine and showed me the results.
I think she should complian, it shouldn't matter what age she is ð
