"Great Dog Disaster" literally

GRRRRRR! My man brought home 2 6 week old puppies and i wasn't told we were keeping one of them. Too late. I'm now cleaning up dog poop and dog pee every half hour off our carpets. I'm not much of a dog person, but because I have my 2 cats I'll give Rob his dog. But must I have to do all the bloody work around here? I gave the puppy a bath this morning, The dog stunk. I am washing the sheets because they stink. I'm trying to be tolerant and this is going ot take a while to get used to for sure.
Very nervous though, I don't own my house yet and my mom and her boyfriend don't know we have it yet. This is going to be a disaster.

is yr oh not taking care of the puppy? he should be the one clearing up after it hun not you.

I agree with Stacey too... he brought it home, he should be the care provider. Not to knock your OH but I think so many people make impulse decisions to get a puppy or kitten, realize how much work it is and then dump it back at the pound. I'm glad that you're taking responsibility atleast and hopefully the little puppy won't be looking for another new home soon 🙁

They are alot of work but the unconditional love you get, in my opinion, makes it sooooo worth it... I hope you will be falling madly and head over heels with the puppy soon!! what kind of puppy is it?

It's a golden labrador. I believe it's a pure bred, but I'm sure. Once I get pics I'll post them here.

My hubby works all day and I stay home. I much prefere him sticking with just his pirhana. GEEZ, he's soooooo impulsive.

lol, my df is sooo impulsive too, although he usually comes home withanother boat to do up? lol It is more me that wants another pet! 😇 haha. I hope your new member of the family fits in soon for you hun! Xx

I am a dog lover and puppies are so gorgeous. BUt what is he like bringing them home!!! get him to clean up the poop!!!!

I wanted a cat, Mart wanted a dog, which = Roxie lol....guess who walks her, feeds her, takes her to the vets 😇

Just an update

we're settling in a bit better now with the puppy. We ditched the idea of leaving the puppy locked in his kennel all night. He would whine and cry, not bark, cry aaaaaaaalllllllll night. So we let him sleep in our room and just hunt and clean up his messes first thing in the morning. We try to clean up all his messes right when we see it and I'm pretty sure we've missed some spots. But the rooms smell relitively clean for a house full of pets and if we need to, I'll get the carpets shampooed after the dog kicks the habit of having accidents in the house. I am definitly getting a doogy toothbrush and doggy toothpaste. His breathe is so bad that when he slobbers on something that I didn't know about, I can't tell if he tinkled there or slobbered. ewww. Tank came from a farm so he is going to have some unpleasant odors to him. Tank loves to bite and even though we have chew toys he still rathers to attack feet and pant legs. His teeth hurt so I let out a yelp to let him know he's hurting me.
The cats are acting a bit strange now. Bean, the oldest that was nursing Sunfire for a while, no longer does that. In fact she is hissing and batting at Sunfire. What a crab she is being. I hope this is only because she's in heat.
Sunfire is now taking a liking to being held. she's cuddling up and doesn't mind being held when your sitting. She loves to watch the computer screen and sleeping in the paper basket.

i say he brought it home let him clean him up, my firneds husband did that he said im getting myself a dog,, bought a really expensive pedigree dog then came home with the dog and went back to work, poor old trace was lumbered with a dog that peed and pood all over the house and he never once picked up after it!
