I wasn't expecting this to happen yet....
Aaralyn got her first phone call from a boy this evening 😲
My phone rings tonight and I didn't recognize the number, this was before Aaralyn got home from Mike's and a cute little voice on the other end says hello... well my first thought was why is Aaralyn calling me from this number??? I say hi honey, and the cute little voice says "may I please speak to Aaralyn?"....
About a week ago, I exchanged phone numbers with one of the mom's of a little boy called Cortez who is in Aaralyn's after school care program with her. They also live in the same apartment complex so we've been meaning to get together some time with the kids outside of school but haven't yet because of Aaralyn being sick lately.
So, anyway, sweet little Cortez wanted to call and find out if Aaralyn was ok and ask her why she hasn't been in school. He told me that all the kids in after school care were missing her so he told them he had her number and would call her and check on her 😍
OMG!! this little boy is so adorable and so sweet mannered! I'm really glad that they live over here near us as it seems a lot of the kids that Aaralyn goes to school with, unfortunately come from a very "rough", if you will, area around here.... one of the neighborhoods in particular tends to have more shootings and stabbings than other places around here so I don't know how comfortable I'm going to be when she starts getting invited to come over to school mate's who live over there.... I think I'll just try to be the parent that has all her kid's friends over to our house 😉 I hope that doesn't sound bad but I'd feel better for Aaralyn's safety if you know what I mean....
Hopefully Aaralyn will be feeling better this weekend and she and Cortez can get together for a play date. His mom is really nice too so I may just be gettin a new friend out of it too! 😀

LOL!! yea, windin' her up with telling her she can't have a "boyfriend" yet! I told her that before and she said something like, ok I can have boys that are friends but I can't date yet? yes, dear, exactly that! LOL 😉
He is a really sweet boy though. She always has to hug all the kids in afterschool care when I get there to pick her up before she leaves. There is a little boy called Jordan that always runs from her hugs and Cortez always runs to her to make sure he gets his hug 😍 But no boyfriends!!!! 😛
