Capital Punishment?

Just wondered how people feel about capital punishment. There seems to be a lot of stuff in the news at the moment about parents killing children, the adoptive 'mom' that Tammy posted about for example. Also (not sure how much our oversees members will know about?) all the stabbings going on in the uk at the moment. Do you think the people responsible, once caught and convicted of these crimes should receive capital punishment? and if so, what method would you use?

I am in two minds as to whether bringing this back in the UK would be a good idea or not? 🤔 Although i certainly feel that the 'cushy' sentences that seem to be dealt out in this country are a joke and almost insult the families that have been affected by these awful crimes. Any other opinions on this?

I"m on the fence with capital punishment... we do have it some states in the US but not all.

I feel for some crimes punishment by death is getting off to easy.... I think people like this "mother" who killed her 2 girls should be made to suffer some how for a long time and not get off easy with death.... I also know that some people who were put to death were later found innocent 🙁 .

I think I'm more against it than for it, but I've never really been able to choose a definate yes or no on this issue. 🤔 My whole point of view could change on that though if someone ever hurt or took Aaralyn's life, I know I'd want to hurt and probably kill that person!

That's exactly how i feel tammy, I am completely on the fence as well. I also feel that death is getting off lightly for these sorts of crimes, although so is being holed up in a prison that gives you better meals than some of us can afford, along with the 'perks' that i have heard lifers get? ie. being able to decorate their cells, and have certain privileges. Also the sentences are nowhere near long enough in my book. I think if you are sentenced to life in prison, it should mean LIFE. In this country you'd be lucky to see them serve 20years! It makes me so 😠 They also tend to be kept away from other inmates who may take out their feeling on them? I feel someone that has commited murder has taken that persons 'human rights' away from them and as a result don't deserve any themselves? I just not sure that capital punishment is the way to achieve this? Xx
