Single Parents and working
What's everyones views on Single Parents having to work?
Myself, my son has Asperger's Syndrome, quite severe. Tried putting him in Childcare in my rural area, and most cannot handle him or he is punished for not understanding...They find him a huge problem and 9/10 I'm called to pick him up.
I struggle to get him to go to school, let alone childcare...Which in turn makes me tired and stressed. When I went to work this affected my job. I gave it up. I've also lost jobs because of time keeping etc.
Yet this government wants us all to work? Hell fire, I would rather have a family unit and supporting ourselves than doing it this way...some don't have a choice.
Reading a few sites, and we have the delightful Britain calling us lazy, spongers, and it's our own faults for being Single Parents. 😠How we should never have kids if we cannot financially provide, errr hello......My son is 9, and this is the first time I've turned to the government. Some have no choice...Don't tar us all...
And is it just my area? Childcare ceases when secondary school age...What then? They say they're old enough to take care of themselves? My son definately cannot look after himself and at 11 years old - I would definately not leave him responsible with a key, to cook himself etc..
What's everyones views on this?
