Daughters and potty training

Hi new to site currently hoovering on the TTC boards but thought id pop over here
My daughter is 3 in oct (18th)
Starting training few months ago -not interested and then tried again this week and is doing good so far she's great at telling me most of the time but it seems that when playing upstairs with her brothers she just does it at the drop of a hat -is this normal and will it pass soon or is it something i should worry about? probably me being silly but thought id ask as never had this with the boys.

Personally I don't know, my daughter is 2 and we are slowly getting her used to sitting on her potty with her nappy on so she gets used to it being there before actually starting the potty training business itself but I would imagine this would be normal. Kids are funny creatures and I wouldn't of thought she would be doing it out of any sort of spite if she is fine doing it when she is with you so it must be accidental.

Sorry for being no help and it all being guess work but I spose any answer is better than none lol

thanks Richie no any ideas answers are good if not just to help me think im not doing something wrong! thanks 😀

Well I'm sure you aint doing anything wrong, personally it's hard to do anything wrong when potty training

Nope perfectly normal. It can happen with both boys and girls. It's when they get so ingrossed in play they don't realise they have to go until right at the very last minute.

How many times have you been to the cinema to watch a good film and wehn you come out you're bursting? Same thing really 😀

Hi my daughter was the same too it very normal! They just get so involved in playing they don't realise their doing it till its too late

Yep, going through the same thing at the moment myself hun. Lolly is 3 in January and is doing well most of the time now but if she is engrossed in something else she just forgets. I'm sure it's normal. Even up to 5/6 kids forget sometimes. I remember loads of kids doing it after they start school - me included. New place, new friends, exciting, etc. They don't want to miss anything most of the time! lol Xx

Is she in regular diapers or pull-ups? She won't always feel she has time to tell you when she has to go. So, the next thing she'll do is just go in her diaper just as she's always done. It can take a long time for tot's to potty train fully. Usually kids will take a step back too. I wouldn't make a huge deal out of it. Pressure will only delay potty training. I just waited till she was ready.
Be patient, the time will come when she's ready. 😎

well a little update Dannii (my DD) has been in'big girls pants' as she calls them during the day for the past ten days (we did first try pull ups etc but semmed little more like nappies so refrained from using them) she just has a regular nappy for bed time she's doing great and in just a few days how shes 'cracked it' all but a couple of not quite made its! but has been on the way to tell me needingto go but not quite got it in time no matter shes doing great it seems to have happened overnight now that i left if after first try she's obviously more ready now.No accidents out on car journeys or outings she actually tells me 'mom i need a wee' and tries but doesnt actually thats fine with me.
Thanks for all the comments and support guys youre fantastic!!
