Ana's first karate lesson was cancelled
They instructors phoned me just as we were about to get there. They had turned up at the venue to find that workmen had removed the roof! You would have thought that someone might have mentioned to them about the work taking place, especially since they pay to use the venue.
I feel sorry for all the other kids that tunred up today only to be turned away.
I have been assured lessons will take place next Saturday.

Due to her autisum she couldn't understand why we could suddenly be nearly at karate and then not going at all. She was gearing up for a huge meltdown when I bumped into my parents who took her to a local cafe.
Tantrum diverted.

My nephew who is now 20 yrs old has aspergars syndrome (sp??) and he got his black belt at age 11 (I think?) it was a jr version if I recall? Unfortunately his cerebral palsy disabled him from doing karate as he's gotten older 🙁
