Well i had my first physio and I have..
apparently partially torn something called the patella.. though i have been told by one person its not possible to tear the patella as its a bone.. any ideas? all i know is it friggin hurts and i got to have ultrasound theraphy on it 😕 is my knee pregnant?? i have no idea whats going off at all, all i know is that in 2 weeks time im in the hospital 3 times in one week twice for physio and once for an ear specialist..??
Ok... as you all know i am rubbish at technical stuff. I cant add links etc. but, this is what i have found? You may already know all this?
Another name for the Patella is the kneecap. It is covered in a layer of cartilage at points where it meets other surfaces. It is also wrapped up in a tendon which connects the quadriceps (thigh muscle) to the tibia (shin bone).
The patella can dislocate (slip out of the joint), sublux (partially slip out of the joint), develop degenerative arthritis or develop a tracking problem.
A tracking problem refers to the patella staying in place in the front of the knee, but it doesn't remain centered in the front part of the femur known as the trochlear groove. There are lots of different names associated with this condition including Lateral facet syndrome (of ficat), Anterior Patello-femoral pain syndrome, chondromalacia lateral pressure syndrome, malalignment syndrome, maltracking syndrome and occasionally patello-femoral degenerative arthritis?
Hope some of this helps? I have no idea what the ultrasound therapy will do? Are they not just going to have a look and see exactly ehat you have done and decide what treatment is suitable?
Good luck with al your appointments hun, sounds like you will have a busy week that week. I hope the ear problem isn't too much of a problem for you either? Xx
all she said is i partically torn the ligiment thingy on the lower side of my kneecap and thats its flapping around inside me knee im really not techincal when it comes to body stuff i was rubbish at science

Ellee, I hope you're knee recovers well and quick! I had a problem with my patella a long time ago.... it was rough on one side??? and I had a lot of problems with pain but it has seemed to heal itself over the years 🤔
Good luck with yours hun! 😘
LOL I was king on a farm during lambing season. We had gathered all of the ewes into a small pen so that we could 'crutch' them. Which basically means giving their lady bits a trim before they give birth.
This requires you to grab the ewe and wrestle her into position. Just has the farmer grabbed on of the ewes another one hurtled in my direction and made her feelings felt with her head connecting with my knee. Very painful, but worse was explaining to the A&E staff how the injury came about.
I reckon that farmer had it in for me. Months later when a team of us were erecting a fence he banged a post into the ground causing a stone to fly into the air and directly into my eye!
That sounds like it was uber painful hun 😢 . Sounds as though you have a very interesting life though Nicola! 😎
