Virgin Media / Broadband
Does anyone use virgin for their wireless internet / tv etc?
As we are moving today i am looking at other options compared to BT.
At the moment we pay an absolute fortune for wireless internet and anytime calls (over £50+ a month). (as Mark uses the phone constantly to make business calls)
Virgin have a current package for £19.99 which includes ulimited calls, wireless and their tv package. 😀
What are virgin like as thinking of signing up to them! 🤔
i used to have virgin just for internet and phone was good but on sky now cos virgin not in this area
We've got it and I we find them fine.
At the mo, we just have TV and broadband which is £22 a month, broadband is 2meg but we don't need any more than that and TV is large package whatever that means lol, we get Living tv stuff like that. we are thinking of upgrading to the 3 for £30 (basically adding the phone) which is the same as we have now but with the phone with them (free weekends). I think they quoted us £37 for 10 megs and free weekends and Large TV which i thought was still fairly cheap 😀
Only thing that put me off the phone was they still wanted a £30 installation fee, but apparently this is loads cheaper than if you wanted BT 🤔
If you get the tv they own the box so if you cancel they take it away BUT if it breaks down (like ours did a few months ago) they replace it for free 😀
we are with Virgin, the only thing is that you wont get any sky channels like Sky One, or any of the movie channels.
What they have on offer is the very basic line up if you are not worried about too many channels then its a good deal.
Their internet service is good, and their customer service is not bad, if you like speaking to an Indian call centre, but then i very rarely need to talk to them.
Theyll bill you as one bill.
They cocked my bill up for about a year and i had free internet and TV for about 9 months!!!!!
But i would recommend them as a whole they are good.
BT are good too, their internet is quite fast, they have lots of deals on at the moment.
I would avoid Tiscali and Talk Talk.
