Bad spelling 'should be accepted'
Common spelling mistakes should be accepted into everyday use, not corrected, a lecturer has said.
what? How confusing, how is that going to help anybody? You will never be able to read a thing if everybody just starts spelling things how they want. what is wrong in encouraging people to learn how to read and write correctly? I'm sure these people are completely bonkers! Xx

its a load of poop. i also blame all this texting jargon. i can never read it.
I agree. We have learnt to accept that some people can't spell certain words, however if you get as far as University and you can't spell argument or twelfth then you probably don't deserve to be there, even if you are doing an art degree.
And these days since most course work has to be submitted typed there is no excuse for not using the spell checker on the PC.
Anyway, I'm now go and que up to pay in a check at the bank! LOL! queue and cheque !

I'm not going to pretend to be fantastic speller and i get my i before e mixed up but giving another way of spelling would confuse me further!
