Oh these poor plebes here...
Plebes are what the new guys starting this year at the Naval Academy are called. They have to come here during the summer and stay and go through basically what is basic training or boot camp. The Midshipman who are now the seniors get to be basically the "drill sargeants" (sp?) and they are sooooooo hard on these young guys and girls (mostly 17-18 yr olds)... they know what they are getting into when they join the academy but I can't help but feel sorry for them. I was walking up and then back from the resturant here to get lunch and they are getting worked and humiliated 🙁 (am I horrible if I admit it's kinda funny too... only because they knew what to expect and they get to have their turn in 3 years too 😉 and the mids that are putting them through had to endure the same thing when they were plebes too.
nah you just a woman!!!!!
I would be far too woosey for that sort of thing now lol! I went on an army pathfinder day at high school and that was hard work, but fun!
I'd be balling like a little girl with in 5 minutes of humiliation.... I would never make it in the military (nor would I want to) but I respect the ones who can and do..... they'd be kicking me out before I got started I have a feeling 😉
I wanted to join the 'forces' and train up to be a nurse, but unfortunately I broke my ankle and it was pinned so I obviously had to knock that idea on the head lol! My mum and dad were very pleased lol, they were horrified when I announced at 14 I wanted to go into the army. I suppose now as a parent I can see why they didn't want me to, I'm not so sure I'd be overjoyed if mine wanted to be in the army.
