i have a new addition
today i got a new addition to my family being a tiny 8 week old baby chinese dwarf hamster called noodles (well its chinese had to think of something along them lines and i couldnt exactly call her peking duck or spare ribs)
i will post a pic of her very soon though she is very shy as izzy scared her when i was transferring her into the cage and she got under the tv unit.. that was fun trying to catch her but i am the greatest and i did...
awww... congrats on ya new baby!! Noodles LOL, that's cute, I like it! Lookin forward to some piccies of the little thing!
yeah i took a pic of her on my phone earlier which i will try and upload in the morning as im using a very slow internet connection at the moment but she gorgeous .. i never seen a hamster with a tail
I've never seen a hampster with a tail either!... never heard of a Chinese dwarf hampster though either 🤔
yeah its strange im very worried about her though as izzy scared her earlier and she vert nervous now and i havent seen her eat or drink all afternoon and everything makes her jump and she just sits and stares for ages
awwww... I've never had any kind of hampster or gerbil so I have no idea about them... It'd make sense that she's nervous with new surroundings, scents and sounds though... Hope she's ok... I guess a vet could see her if she continues to not eat or drink... maybe just put a light blanket or sheet over her "home" and give her some "quiet" time 🤔 I have no clue what I'm talking about honestly, but maybe that would calm her enough to eat or drink...
i have put a towel over the top of the cage the back and the sides so only the front half is showing and she seems to have become a bit more active maybe the lights are dazing her..
oh good, I hope she keeps getting more comfortable in her new surroundings, I betcha she will!! What's Izzy thinkin of her?
izzy loves them she loves the other 2 hamsters but they arent very handable (they bite alot) so i got noodles to train to handle so she can stroke her etc but she gets quite loud and excited whenever she sees the hamsters which is what scared noodles when i was transferring her from her box the shop put her in to her new cage and thats how i ended up with a hamster under the tv stand having to unplug my tv take my tv off the unit tip the unit slightly and quickly grab noodles with a towel which is why i think she is a little jumpy and shy at the moment
yea, that would make her definately nervous.... good going you for being able to get that little Noodle LOL I can picture it now!
Hamsters are usually nocturnal, our hamster gets noisy about 8 while 11 and bangs on the water bottle lol!
awwww bless...they are sooo tiny!!
