Do you ever just have one of those days??
Starting work in August part time which i am nervous about, and work are being difficult about holiday and hrs etc. Has anyone else had these problems at all?
I really enjoyed my job, but really feeling down about it as every thing seems to be a struggle to ask for. And very nervous about leaving Harrison, but luckily the two days i am going back my mum is having him and my partners the other day. 🙂
Maybe i am just having one of those days?? As Harrison is also not his best today either
xx
Here's a big 😘 for ya hun!
I think we all have days like that... it's a hard thing to face going back to work and leaving your little one but it does get a little easier 😘
firstly well done in takin the brave step in deciding to return to work! 😀
as for your holiday entitlements and things, what seems to be the problem? are they saying that on reduced hours your not entitled to the same holidays that you once were on full time hours? I would enquire this with head office or in your company handbook as unless you have broken your contract by not returning after maternity leave then reapplying, there is no reason as to why they should reduce your leave entitlement. Most companies start off with so many weeks per annum, but depending on your service, depends on what leave your entitled to. it doesnt tend to go on hours you work.

Everything has been an issue really down too what hours i can work on return as i can only do part time and my holidays have finally been sorted.
It just seems to be a constant battle
But had a nice day with some friends and there wee ones today so feel loads better!!!
Thanks for all of the 😘 😘 😘
i had this problem even before i left for maternity so i have decided im not goin back to were i was but look for something else..when mason is at least 2 i will miss the people i wrkd with but not the 😠i called my manager good luck if u get no joy ring acas there very good with all your entileled to
They have to give you a really good reason, in writing (in other words something that will stand up in a court) why they can't change your hours. Your employers are legally bound now to let you request and change your hours after returning from maternity leave.
My employers wanted me to go back full-time after having George (I only had 16 weeks maternity too!) I told them to stuff it, I wanted a day off a week and I work 9-5 mon tue thur and 9-4.30 fri. When charlotte starts school full time in Sept I'm hoping to change my hours again to 9-3 mon to fri, they are aware of me wanting to do this but keep putting it off being disscussed, but I will keep on their butts lol!!
they have to be more flexi when u have young children...hope u get something sorted that suits u and your family
They seem to scrape through just about with there reasons
I worked till 8pm twice a week and they said i can not finish at 5.30pm as it would not be fair on the rest of the team. Plus it does not work as they would have to employ someone else to do my evenings, but there is cover already?
I was a manager and i was hoping i could go back for a job share with the person who had been doing my job while i was away but said this would not work.
I am going back as a different role due to this.
I called acas and they were great, but there are several loop holes with maternity.
The thing is i have always stood up for myself probably too much sometimes, i think they think i am a pain in the arse.
I am still going to do one late shift a week as my mum will have him this day to allow me to do this.
