MIL almost had no house!

DF was round his mums yesterday morning doing some bits for her when he noticed a burning smell - went into the kitchen to see his nan had put our plastic washing basket full of dry clean washing on top of the electric hob - which had somehow got turned on! df had to chuck the basket to the floor as the hob has burnt through the bottom of the basket and had just set fire to DDs winnie the pooh blanket in the bottom!
good thing df was still there waiting for me to walk and meet him with ds otherwise he would of driven bk to the flat before he noticed the smell! - note - dont put anything plastic on top of cooker hobs 🤪

omg hun. thats scary. ive burnt numerous tea towels by putting them onto the hob when its still hot 🤪

OMG thats awful, good job he was there, that couldhave been serious glad all are ok and the house is safe

I've done the exact same thing hun, it took forever to get the plastic smell to go properly.

I set fire to hubbys jeans 😲
