Excitement at the Academy today!!

There is a tradition for the freshman of this year to climb a monument that has been greased up with lard, they all have to work together as a team to get to the top to replace a seniors head cover with one of their own... it's been going on about 1 1/2 hours now and no success... I'm heading back out to watch now 😀

It's really exciting for the freshman known as the Plebes to get through this and not be the lowest on the totem pole any more so to speak, so the vibe around here is amazing right now 😀

I'll post pics later 😀 and try to catch up with this busy forum later too 😕

oh what fun will you post pictures? id love to see that!

I will... another hour has gone by and still not made it up there yet... one's been taken off by ambulance but so far that's the only injury... this has been a tradition for 150 years here 😲 . The shortest time it took was 1 1/2 hours, the longest so far has been 4 hours, it's not looking good for the class of 2011 right now, they may go past the 4 hours 😉

Headin' to get some lunch and keep watching 😀 got the office closed right now 😀

that sounds so cool. cant wait to see some piccies. must feel awful though all that lard ewwwwwwww
