pre school jabs

Ethan has to go next mon for his pre school jab and am so ,he is terrified of injections as he has seen Conrad get them and dont know the best way to deal with it,what tricks did some of you use to get throu it with your older ones,David is coming with me as I know he is going to scream the place down, any ideas or advice ladies

i bribed Tom with a bag of pokemon marbles! If he had his jab and was a good boy he could have the marbles, my dad came and sat with him and they had Tom and Poppa time!

The dr was impressed with his behaviour and more so with my dads vintage motorbike which was parked right under the window, they spent more time chatting about the bike than they did putting the needle in Toms arm, once we got out of the surgery hed forgotton all about it!

Bribery sounds good - Martha had hers the other week and just whimpered - bless her 😍
Also, if they are anything like my surgery then they have stickers and sweets on hand for just this purpose

tal had heres two wks ago she was fine very proud of her self i was in tears

i cant say for older ones but charlys last she was 14months old and have to have 1 in each arm i gave her choc to keep her amused.
mum bribes my 6yr old bro with magazines or money lol

I just told Joseph (who had his in sept just after he was 4) that if he didnt have them he wouldnt get to school and it did hurt but not as much as staying at home with my ALL day when he wasnt allowed to school 😊 I did buy him an ice-cream afterwards.

(problem was when he had to get his flu jab and he wouldnt go to the nurse because he didnt need the jab because he had had his for school!!!)

Charlotte was really excited that she was going to the drs for her jabs, unfotunately my fears that she had no idea how much it was going to hurt were confirmed when she screamed down the surgery 😭

We took her to the supermarket with George (who had jabs at the same time) to buy a magazine afterwards to cheer them up.
