buffets what u get for ur money?

i was wonderin wot u would expect if u were payin 5 a head for a buffet,the one i av been lookin at all u get is sandwiches pork pies and sausage rolls desserts 1.50 extra is this been tight?it will cost us 300 pound surely i couild do it cheaper?

i would expect to get a lot more than that! Perhaps voleyvons(sp) and some loose meat and maybe some nibbles, crisps and nuts and maybe some sausages on sticks, i dont know what sort of function you are thinking catering for, but can you not do it yourself?

its for a christening and i did my other two myself just thought it be easier to get someone to do it 🙁 thats a def not

I compared catering companies and that was what I saw, anything more cost more up to about £15 per head just for buffet. I ended up doing it myself and I got SOOO much food for alot LESS money

i think that you should maybe think about doing it yourself, its not that hard to do, maybe some quiche and carrot, celery and cucumber stix with dip, you can buy those 4 tray dips, coleslaw and potato salad, you can get that in huge tubs from the supermarket.

I wouldnt worry about sarnies, do french stick and let them butter them themselves and do finger food, chicken or veggie nuggets, little bhajis and prawn ring, you can get those in iceland for a about a fiver, it might mean the cooker but beleive me you can cater for lots of people for next to nothing!
