I've had a hectic morning at work and am shattered! One of the new ladies just isn't getting anything!!! Okay it's only her third (nearly 4th) week - but in between changing her shoes and bursting into tears (she brings four pairs with her as she keeps saying her feet hurt), and having 'tropical moments' - she just keeps asking the same questions over and over again. 😬

I know it's awful when you start a new job - but i knew my manager had made the wrong decision employing this lady. She's never worked in this industry before and it is so fast paced and hectic in golf/wedding season. She hasn't got the hang of the floor layouts yet (and they are not hard), she cannot remember who she needs to call to check soup of the day for room service or even remember how to basically check someone in or where to put an invoice after check-out.

I just feel so frustrated - we had a number of problems this morning and the other 'new girl' coped fine only had to ask for help with things that you rarely come across - but the other lady even asked me how to answer the phone (again!!)!

OKAY RANT OVER AND I KNOW I AM BEING A WITCH!!!!

She thanked me for being a brick this morning - which made me feel bad for feeling frustrated all morning - but i had just had enough!

I had crisis after crisis yesterday morning - but feel worse after today...

Oh well

We have had a few people that way where I work, but at least she's asking and not just doing it all wrong and not doing anything about it, she's probably just a little unsure of herself. I understand your fustrations though, especially when youre under pressure as it is. I had to train a lady up to cover me while i was on Maternity leave and she couldn't get it bless her.
