I can't cope.
The night before last my daughter kept getting up andcrying in the night. She was inconsolable. She was saying
'why can't daddy come back from heaven? Why can't i see him? I love and miss him so much and its not fair'
I managed to soothe her and she went to sleep.
Its been five months since he died and we had tears the first few weeks and nothing since up until the other night.
What do i say? Shes 5 years old and seems so sad lately and i'm at a loss. We've wrote letters to daddy and i've taken her out to take her mind off things. If she wants to talk about him, we do.
I miss my happy daughter and so angry with him for being so selfish to take his own life and doing this to my little girl.
I don't want to be angry at him, i want to think of him in a good way. but when i am trying to settle her after crying it breaks my heart to see her like that.
Should i take her tosee someone? to talk it through or something?
sorry, i just don't know what to do.
I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't begin to imagine what you are going through.
My only advice would be please talk to someone. Have you had any bereavment councilling? I know it isnt mainstream everywhere, but there is a childrens adaptation of this available geared specifically towards helping young children deal with loss. Maybe this would help you both?
I'd also like to say that it is only human to be angry, seeing your child hurting - that is only natural. Don't feel bad for it.
I hope this is of some use to you
xXx
thank you for your reply. I am going to talk to my health visitor and see where she can refer my daughter to, to talk to someone.
Thank you again.
Take care
Hi
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I think Barnardo's do specialist bereavement counselling for children. It might be worth checking out their website to see if you can find anything else out about it.
What you are feeling is perfectly normal for someone who has lost a loved one so don't beat yourself up about it. Perhaps you could have some counselling too? It might help to talk to someone you don't know about how you are feeling.

i will go and have a look at that site and see what they can help with. thank you x
i am sorry to hear about your loss. It must be very difficult for you. It is ok for you to be angry it is part of the grieving process. Ask your health visitor about bereavement counselling for your daughter and yourself.
This is just an idea why not pick a star so when she see the star that daddy is with her.
Take care
the other girls have said it all
so just for you 😘 😘
Im so sorry to hear about your loss, and as the others have said its understandable and i would think right, for you to feel as you do.
I also agree with the councelling for both of you, and maybe together too to help deal with this...... i hope things get a little easier hon 😘
thank you for all your replys. My daughter has been at nannys this week as no school and shes not mentioned anything or any crying etc. Mum taking her mind off it. Am going to go and speak to the health visitor and see what she sugests.
