Poor Mikey!
After the bad week Amber had, now it's Mike's turn... Last Thursday after he had backed out of our driveway and was in the road, shifting gears, ready to go forward, our neighbor across the street hit the back of Mike's car with his big truck. The guy admitted fault (he had a frickin big sun visor in his window blocking his view!!) and said he didn't move the visor because was just moving his truck from being parked on the street into his driveway. The guy told Mike he didn't want to go through his insurance and he would pay cash for the damages done.... well after Mike got an estimate of $2500.00 to fix it the guy changed his tune and wanted his insurance to pay for it... Mike called the insurance company, reported the claim and they called him back saying they would not pay out because it was his fault because he was backing and backed into the guy (that's what the neighbor told them!!) so now Mike is having to get a lawyer to get some help with this as it was clearly not his fault. You can even tell by the damage to the car that if Mike had slightly backed into the guy there wouldn't be that much damage and of course the neighbor is never gonna admit that he had the big sun screen thing still up in the front windsheild!! Mike's really upset too cuz he knows now there will be some negativeness between us as neighbors and that's never good....
Anyway, can ya'll send some hugs for me to give to Mike today, he needs all he can get... poor guy is getting a big cold sore on his lip from all the stress and he's usually very calm and mellow and not easily stressed out... I don't like seeing him this way, with the car thing and just being worried about Amber right now and all 🙁

grrrr!! this exact same thing happened to my parents when they were visintg my uncle! there car was in my uncles drive when the neighbour opposite reversed out of there drive and into my parents car - they knocked on and admitted what they had done ony when my mum contacted the insurance this person then changed their storey (as there was no mark on her car) and said she never did anything!! my parents ended up having to claim off their own insurance to get the job done and then went thru solicitors after to get the money back from her!!
😠 makes me wonder how half the people out there even get driving licenses!! 😠
