diagnosed
i had my appointment with my doc. i have something around my left temple lobe. so i am basiclly epileptic. but because ive only had the one seizure its strange to have the diagnosis so early. so what they say is i have a lower threshold to seizures than most people.
please feel free to ask anything coz i dont explain things very well.
u had encephalitis didnt you? is that whats caused the mark on your brain - hopefully it will be gone before you know it and it wont cause you any probs - my mums went pretty quick and she never had a seizure with hers. have they told u ur not to drive and stuff? my mum was told to stop driving only she never did! *slap*
yea was encephalitis, we'd asume thats where the marks come from, dont really know coz never had any scans on head before. i did have a seizure with it, tried to throw myself down the stairs app. so am not allowed to drive for a year, providing im seizure free for the year. had only been driving 11months.
I hope you stay seizure free hun!! I'm glad you atleast kinda know what happened anyway 😘
yeh my mum wasnt allowed drive but she did - nobody to stop her really as they dont take ur license off u! my uncle and aunty have both been epileptic since kids they aint supposed to drive either but they both do - they always have done! you know sometimes when your about to have a seizure - i have a friend who knows when hers are coming on so she lies on the floor! its weird to think they know theyre gonna have something yet cant do anything to stop it!
awwwwww. atleast you now know xxxx 😘
Hayley_Kev said:but surely if they disclose their medical condition to the insurers they wouldnt be insured? I had a relative who took seizures and 9/10 times knew when one was coming but there was sometimes the odd one that just stuck and if you were driving that could be dangerous- they are knowingly putting other peoples lives at risk. How would you feel if you were in a serious accident and you found out that the person in the other car took a seizure and knew they shouldnt have been driving. These rules there for a reason, I know a seizure can happen to anyone but if you know you have them you shouldnt be driving. IMO it is careless and dangerous and stupid and if I knew anyone who was doing it I would report them. It is different if they have been seizure free for a year and have been told they are SAFE to be behind a wheel again
