im back!! been in hospital with ethan...

sunday night ethan was very sleepy,and was asleep and out for the night from about 6pm! although he was coffing alot in his sleep.monday came and he slept all day,i couldnt wake him for anything,but about 6pm'ish i forced him to wake up to have some calprofen,i went back to the kitchen to take the medicine and spoon back,when i cam back ethan was arched over the arm of the sofa,with fists clenched,mouth foaming and fitting!!!

i grabbed the fone dialled 999 a paramedic in a car came first follwed by a ambulance,ethan was still fitting when they arrived,they just grabbed him,ran to the ambulance hooked him up on allsorts by the time we got the hospital he ahd stopped and was back sleep again - his temp had gone up to just under 40'C.they did all these tests on him and found nothing other than a sore throat!! they think that hes had a viral infection that has caused a 'febrial convulsion' as they called it.but i slept at the childrens hospital with him and we came out tea time lastnight.he slept as soon as we got home all thru till this morning again.

he woke up this morning his normal cheeky self as if nothing was wrong!! i sent kev a text today saying 'your darling son has poured rainbow drops everywhere,mushed beef paste butties down the back of the sofa and took the lid off his beaker and pured that over the floor - yet in a way im glad - its a sign hes better!'

Awwww sounds like you have had rough time , i s**t myself when Cara coughs ...so what you have went through must have been hell

Glad you's are all out the other end and Ethan is on the mend 🙂

iv never been so scared in my life!!! i was crying so much that the woman who answered my 999 call couldnt understand what i was saying!! she kept saying,take a big deep breath for me and start again! then to distract me she had me counting between ethans breaths.i also called kev to get him home from work and he sed he undestood nothing apart from 'ethan' 'ambulance'!

he began to go blue during his fit and the woman told me to put him in the recovery postion and tip his head back but put his face down,she told me to clear his mouth of any flem... only he was clamped down so hard on his tongue i couldnt get my finger in his mouth!

I am so glad he's ok and back to his cheeky self... I can imagine how worried you were having laid in a hospital bed with Aaralyn when she pneumonia.

When tara was a baby about 9 months i think the same thing happened to her. Luckily my mum is a nurse so i ran for her i knew she wasnt right when i put her to bed. I didnt know she had a high temperature as i didnt have one of those temperature things. She took one of those fits on me and we had to rush her to the out of ours doctors were they then sent her to the hospital. It was down to a sore throat as well. I since then got one of those temperature things and every time her temperature went up i paniced. She never took another one thank god. Glad ethan is ok. Give him a big kiss from me 😀

😘 oh hun. I knwo how you are feeling. Joseph has been admitted to hospital 3 times, the first time was a blue light to the hospital. They wanted to sent him again by ambulance but I asked if I could take him (which they let me) All 3 times have been virus related but it doesnt make it any better when your baby is ill.
